A big warm hello to you all

Hello! I feel like we can relax now, knowing that the summer is here. I’m gauging this on more than two good weather days in a row! This week I thought I’d share some experiences and discoveries in France and I’m going to be taking a closer look at our current look of the week.

Let’s start with France. I went out there to visit my mum and stepdad John and I took my friend Ruby with me. It was a chance to catch up on all our news and have some girly time. We rarely get to see each other these days with living busy London lives. My mum lives in a beautiful area which has a similar feel to some of the beautiful country side you see in the Cotswolds with rolling hills and lush green fields, there’s also fields and fields of sunflowers too and olive groves. It really is so pretty.

I also couldn’t believe how amazingly tasty and full of flavour the fruit and vegetables out there are. I love food and I love to cook so I was delighted to eat and cook with delicious local produce. I’d forgotten how sweet peaches are and how perfumed and succulent melons are. Unfortunately this is largely due to the fact I have become used to eating fruit and veg from the supermarket. I used to grow my own vegetables and make my own bread and I miss the freshness.

Dinner Sorbet

On our last evening we all went out for dinner in a local restaurant. Wow! This was an amazing experiences. Have a look at these pics. The ice cream on the plate wasn’t sweet at all – it was pate!! And then they served a little sorbet in an artistically crushed tonic can! Haha!

As I am sure you know, I love clothes, and I wanted to share this photo with you. I discovered this dress, I have known my mum to have this dress for as long as I’ve lived but what I didn’t know was that it was vintage when she got it! She was younger than me when she bought it from a second-hand shop in Inverness. I remember when I was a teenager loving it, and now many years on I’m still as in love with it as I was back then. Somehow though it manged to find its way all the way back home with me to London… oopsie! How did that happen? She may not miss it however as my mum bought this MarlaWynne balloon dress which is the same style as our Style Big Deal offer. Here’s the MarlaWynne dress next to a close-up of my vintage number.

Talking of fashion – Have you seen the current Style Look? Gorgeous – stylish and summer-friendly is how I’d sum this look up.

Starting with the Kim & Co jumpsuit.

Style Look

Jumpsuits are great as they are hassle free and you don’t need to worry about co-ordinating tops and bottoms. Kim’s are always well-made and fit really well in all the right areas. Her designs tend to come in at the waist and allow more room around your hips and bottom, which is very flattering. This cute lip print keeps the garment looking fun and very current plus the navy colour is very slimming. Sometimes navy is more flattering than black. If you haven’t tried a jumpsuit or think “it would never suit me” or “they are for younger gals” then think again and try one out. Send me a pic on my Insta or Twitter (links at the bottom of the post). I am happy to help guide you from our fab ranges and styles.

I love these Clarks wedges pictured next to the jumpsuit above. The summer espadrille look with the natural linen colour material looks classy and cool combined. These are easy to wear and will go with your jeans, skirts, more casual dresses and look great with shorts. Wedges are great for giving us a bit of height which can help make our pins look a little leaner when wearing trousers and shorts. The natural colour ties in with the more neutral colour trend of summer 2018.

Have a look out for another Big Deal this week from Skechers – the parallel wedge.

Double cool alert coming up, from Radley and Loverocks.

A smart leather bag such as this one will instantly make any outfit look smart and give it that luxury touch. This one comes in five beautiful colour options although you will need to be quick as this is a popular bag!

Loverocks sunglasses – one word. Sexy and chic. Okay that was two words : )

I really would love to hear what clothes and accessories you are enjoying wearing and I will respond quicker than the last blog. My apologies for the late response to those of you who contacted me.

Ooh and we have one last Big Deal for this week from QVC Beauty and Flora Mare.

Have fun and looking forward to hearing from you, keep in touch on Twitter and Instagram
