Hello, hope you are well and keeping warm in these subzero temperatures.
I was back in Bristol on the weekend to celebrate my niece Jasmine’s 16th birthday. We did a surprise party for her at her favourite Italian restaurant, she thought it was just a family thing and then when she turned up 12 of her friends were there waiting for her – it was brilliant!
I can hardly believe where the time has gone, the picture of her as a baby seems five minutes ago. In the other photo you can see me with Jas and some of her friends as we left the restaurant.
An exciting week ahead at QVC! On Monday the 4th of February we have for the first time a Cozee Home Today’s Special Value – the Juno rug! As you would expect from Cozee Home it’s soft, cosy and comes in a variety of beautiful colours to work with your home. As I am still living in a building site, I used my partner’s flat to take some photos in. I chose to photograph the Silver Grey option in the smaller rectangular size (there are five different colours and sizes) and I am sure you’ll agree it looks very stylish as well as cosy!
On the subject of the redecoration, there is lots of carpentry work going on at my flat at the moment which is very exciting but as you can imagine with woodwork comes lots of sawdust. Which is why it’s been so great to try out another Today’s Special Value that you will see next week from Shark. This time it’s a lightweight corded vacuum from their Rocket range which is nifty and very powerful. I have been using it to clean up after the carpenters and stay on top of general cleaning at a very dusty time. After one use I was rather satisfied to see how much had collected in the clear canister. It’s also really handy that it can be used as an upright or handheld vacuum.
A real highlight of last week was Guest Audition Day where I met one of the runners up of The Great British Bake Off 2017, Steven Carter-Bailey. I was rather starstruck to meet him as I am a big fan of The Bake Off and I thought he did so well in that series. So we had a great time chatting about the show and, as you can imagine, he did very well in the audition process so hopefully you will see him at QVC in the kitchen at some point soon.
That’s it for this week, thank you for reading my blog. Stay warm and as always I send you big hugs.
