This week’s blog comes to you with so much joy and excitement as I have some wonderful news to share with you all. We are expecting a baby! We are so thrilled and will welcome our new little one into the world at the beginning of September.
I have wondered whether some of you may have guessed something was going on especially as I have swapped my usual belted jumpsuits and dresses for loose-fit clothing for the past few months now. Some of you may be wondering if we know what we’re having yet? We have our second scan coming up and have decided to keep it a surprise. Elliot has two sons Joel the oldest and Errol a teen-to-be in a matter of months who are both looking forward to their new brother or sister’s arrival. Lucky little one to have two lovely big brothers! Here is a pic of myself and Elliot at home on our couch.
The QVC presenter family are also getting excited to welcome the first baby for a good few years into the fold and we will be doing a Facebook Live this week, which I will let you know the time and date of as soon as I know. Keep an eye on @eilidhnairntv Twitter and Instagram.
Now for a seamless link…washing! There’s certainly going to be a lot more of that come September so it’s a very good job I’ve discovered Ecozone Laundry Ecoballs 1000. They require no liquid soap simply the provided pellets which are placed in the green rubber ball provided, throw in the machine and wash. I needed convincing – in our house we are washing for two adults and a teenager so on average we do around 5 – 6 washes a week depending if we are doing extra towels and sheets for when guests stay. This is how it looks and so far we have done around 25 washes and still haven’t needed to re fill. You get up to 1000 washes with the pellets provided.
It’s so simple and really cleans the clothes. That’s what I look for when doing the washing. So I am pleased and will continue using these. You get two types of pellets, brown mineral pellets and white plant-based cleaning pellets.
The two types of pellets work together to clean your clothes in different ways and there is a fragrance-free option too. We decided to use a fabric softener alongside as we like the feel for towels, but you don’t have to. It’s our Big Deal on QVC Extra, here’s the link if you’re interested in giving them ago; at £14.98 plus P&P they’re great value in my opinion.
The final part of my blog I’d like to share with you some pics from the big party we threw for Elliot’s 50th last week. It was a fantastic night with lots of close friends and a 70s food theme including the famous cheese and pineapple hedgehogs made by myself and Errol. Our friend Danny Jack who is a chef came and set up a toastie making corner in our kitchen with the best fancy toasties I’ve ever had. There was chipotle pulled chicken, cheese and ham (a must) and a vegan cheese, cashew pesto and avocado option too.
Then later in the evening as a surprise I had three incredible cakes made for Elliot which myself, Errol and our dear friend Keith brought out and everyone sang happy birthday! It was a great moment to share with everyone. The cakes where carrot, lemon, poppy seed and blueberry and a chocolate, orange and salted caramel one made by Abbie who runs The Tartlettes and makes them by hand herself.
It was also Easter Bank Holiday which meant it was so hot so I made sure I lathered myself in Ultrasun Glimmer but because I didn’t actually have a tan that quickly and wanted to wear a dress with bare legs for the party I used Vita Liberata Supersize Body Blur this is my hero in my make-up bag at the moment. So many of the presenters use this.
The final word I’ll leave you with is the new Today’s Special Value that will be out on the same day as my blog Monday 29th and in fact I launched it myself on last night at midnight. It’s these fabulously Soft Touch modern stretch ankle length slim fit trousers from Mr Max. They are great and I am looking forward to wearing these.
And that’s was the final part of my blog 🙂
Please keep your messages coming in and I’ll be sure to update you on baby news and pics. Always lots happening on my Insta @eilidhnairntv too.
Have a wonderful week.
Love from Eilidh and the bump!
