I’ve always loved having fresh flowers in my home but alongside a weekly purchase from my local fruit, veg and flower shop I also enjoy Peony faux flowers, for an affordable and more permanent display of beauty. I must have at least fifteen different Peony collections that I move around my home and change with the seasons (and even use to decorate our motor home when we’re on our travels). They are all based on flowers grown in the gardens of the Ruckley estate in Shropshire and brought to us by the lovely Julie Bates, founder of Peony Faux Flowers. I enjoy all my Peony arrangements but my latest is possibly the most beautiful, and the best value.
It’s our Today’s Special Value, launching at midnight and featuring through the day on Thursday 25th May. Gorgeous, totally life-like roses in classic cream or soft pale pink, teamed with mixed greenery and displayed in a contemporary ribbed glass hurricane vase featuring rope handles and a stainless steel trim around the neck. It’s a classy bouquet of free stems rather than being fixed in place so you can arrange them as you like, add other stems or even pop them a different vase and put a flameless candle or some lights in the hurricane vase.
All very well, you might say, but one of the beauties of roses is the fragrance. Well, Peony have thought of that as well and, for the first time, a rose scented stick is included. It smells exactly as though you’ve just buried your nose in a stunning old English rose freshly cut from the garden!
The price will be under £40 against a recommended retail price of over £82, so under half price – but remember, it will be for a maximum of 24 hours and that depends on us having enough stock to last the day. Given how much you have loved Peony roses in the past, I wouldn’t bank on it…
I’ve indulged in both colour options, and although they are both beautiful in their hurricane vases on their own, I’ve combined them in a large Italian ceramic vase that I bought almost 30 years ago on honeymoon with my husband Olley. I wouldn’t risk putting water in it for real flowers, but of course I don’t need to with Peony – the roses set off the soft colours of the vase to perfection.
My close up photos show just how convincing and realistic the roses are, good enough for the entire collection to be endorsed by the Royal Horticultural Society. You can find out more about Peony and watch some videos of Julie at work on the Ruckley estate on our website. You’ll see the care and attention every single bloom, bud and blossom receives from the team at Peony. And with the sensory experience completed by the addition of the fragrant rose scented stick, I think you’ll absolutely love this offering from Peony. Do take a look.
See you soon, I hope
Take care

Hi Kathy,
You looked very lovely today in your peach top and pink and white trousers and I wondered if they were from a range at QVC?
Kind regards
Vanessa
