An announcement to share

Just to let everyone know that Presenter Marverine will no longer present shows at QVC. Marverine is very busy with some exciting new projects back in Birmingham and is also looking after her elderly mother after recent surgery. We’d like to thank her for all her hard work and wish her well with all her new projects.

Something fishy here. I’m sure Marv would say goodbye herself, given the chance. I could be wrong, but I doubt it. The Q is like the Bermuda Triangle; people just disappear . Do you think we don’t notice Q? I think it’s shocking that you don’t give people the chance to say their goodbyes to all us viewers. Sell, sell, sell, yes, that’s you Q.

Even when people pass on it seems time dedicated to informing us, if at all, is minimal – shame on you.

Marv, I wish you all the best in the future. Loved watching you, take care x

I am very sad to hear that Marverine will no longer appear on our screens though not entirely surprised. I don’t think that she has been happy for a long time. I do trust that QVC will make every effort to have a diverse team of presenters given that it is a global company and its audience and buyers are diverse. Also, I hope that the QVC management team will make an effort to retain presenters. I still remember Anna, whom I’ve since heard on the radio, and the blonde Irish lady.

Wishing you every success with your new projects and health and happiness to your mum. She should be so proud of you! I have enjoyed watching your shows, and as a lady of a similar size to myself I have found your guidance on sizings for individual brands invaluable. I for one will miss you. Good luck for the future.

I know of one or two presenters who should go before Marve why don’t QVC have a pole to see who the customers like (or don’t) I bet there would be a few shocks

    • Val August 6, 2016 at 11:28 am -  Reply

I agree with June, there are about 4 presenters that I avoid watching – as I do not like the way they present shows. Marve was great very clear and lovely to watch and also loved reading her posts – will be missed – hope all is well with her (mothers are precious).

I also have to agree with Gail – it sounds fishy!!!

Marverine, very sorry to hear that you have left QVC. I liked your style of presenting and you brought something unique and different to the QVC presenting team. I am also sorry to hear that your mum is unwell and hope that she makes a full and speedy recovery. I’m sure that you will succeed in whatever you take on. You were mentioned on ‘Womans Hour as a woman to watch whose leadership qualities and intellect marked her out as special. So maybe you were wasted as a shopping telly host? Best wishes, F.

If you’re feeling stuck on what to include, remember that less is more. “Parents should include whatever information they feel comfortable including, but keep in mind that not every recipient is expecting to read a long birth story on an announcement,” Renner and Pflock say. “Short and sweet is easy and certainly sufficient.”

I agree with one of the comment that there is something fishy
here, people don’t just disappear. There is a Presenter there who is so self centred she has used everything on QVC,it is always about her you know who you are.She never include the diverse community in her presentations, she makes me feel uncomfortable, look into this QVC.Can’t she take a leaf out of Allison Young’s book.Allison Young is an excellent presenter and beauty expert she is an asset to QVC.Love her.
