On Wednesday 1st October I headed off to the Grosvenor House Hotel in London with our QVC film crew to support the annual Breast Cancer Care Fashion Show!
This fantastic event marks the beginning of Breast Cancer Care Awareness Month, it’s a special occasion for so many reasons, but most importantly it’s a day for those women and men who are taking to the catwalk for the first time and who have all been affected by breast cancer.
YOU’VE raised over £4.7 million!
QVC have supported Breast Cancer Care for 15 years now and during that time YOU have helped to raise over £4.7 million for the charity, a figure which will no doubt leap up after our LIVE three-hour fundraising show on Monday 13th October from 6pm.
This year’s scenes…
This year’s fashion show featured several different themes. The show opened with a pirate scene (first image below) – the outfits were fantastic! We also saw a cocktail hour scene (above), an equestrian section (third image below) and the finalé was a very elegant pink scene (second image below and top picture).
Just before I go, I want to give a special mention to ‘Team QVC’ (above left to right: Jason, Hanif, Rachel, Pete & Louise) their day started at 8am and finished at around 11pm, my fiancé, Steve, was also part of the crew but he didn’t quite make the photo, whooops!
It’s because of everyone’s hard work filming this special day that we will ALL get to experience the 2014 Breast Cancer Care Fashion Show. You can watch the team’s film during QVC’s LIVE fundraising event on Monday 13th October from 6pm. In the meantime visit QVC’s Breast Cancer Care page
to find out more about this year’s campaign!
See you on the 13th of October,
