A £1000 prize and another amazing TSV!

Firstly, huge congratulations to Kirsty our winner from last week’s Wintober competition. Kirsty, your BodyBlade prize will reach you very soon.

If you missed out here’s the good news… I have another prize for you, which you can also enter via twitter, @mecharliebrook.

Platinum bracelet
The prize is incredible. A hallmarked platinum cable bracelet with a shackle clasp. Having spoken to our jewellery department, if this were to retail, it would command a price of around £1000!

It comes with a slight confession as well! The prize is actually a bracelet I wore on air around 10 years ago during a jewellery show. I was loaned the sample to wear and I promised our jewellery team I would keep it very, very safe. I kept my promise and stored it securely and safely. I eventually stopped wearing it on air as we no longer sold the bracelet and I continued to keep it safe, under lock and key, at work.

I should point out, at this stage, that we don’t have countless pieces of jewellery floating around our dressing rooms! We always return samples after presenting shows to our floor staff and buyers for secure keeping. However, I was given permission to look after this piece and wear the design as often as I wished… Then, of course, it sold out!

Well it’s funny how time passes by isn’t it! I rediscovered the piece during our move from Battersea to Chiswick a few years ago… On moving to our new premises I carried on keeping it safe and sound.

I then spoke to our buying team who gave me permission to prize the platinum!

It’s a huge prize and I really hope you enter the draw. The closing time and date are 5pm on Tuesday 14th October. Entering is easy. Simply retweet the competition tweet and follow my account on twitter. I’m @mecharliebrook. If you’re new to twitter and a little unsure, don’t be afraid… I got the hang of it quite quickly and I’m someone who has gone back to a mobile phone which doesn’t even have a camera…. That’s another story! All the terms and conditions are here!

Good luck!

On the subject of exciting times at QVC – here’s a little look ahead at the ACER TSV I’m launching this coming Saturday 11th at midnight.

acerOur buyer has hinted at the price, which I think is outstanding. It’s the ACER Iconia One 7” HD Wi-Fi Tablet. For its size, it really packs a punch in specification, comes in four fabulous colour choices and we also include an ACER-branded case too.

Perfect gift perhaps!

I’ll see you on air very soon including the launch of another Today’s Special Value on Tuesday 14th at midnight. I’ve never seen a TSV quite like it before! The indoor/outdoor Laser Show!

Take care and remember to enter!

Hi, I think the bracelet is a terrific prize, but as I am not on twitter, and am not joining twitter I, and I assume a lot of others wont be able to join in the competition. Little bit unfair?? Hazel.

Would be good if all customers could be in with a chance of winning.
I don’t use facebook or twitter, so am at a disadvantage, as i’m sure are many others.
    Prize looks amazing.

I don’t use Twitter or Facebook, this means I can’t enter. Do QVC see me as a less valued customer than those who do use Social Media ? The prize is fabulous but it should be open to all QVC customers.

I agree with the last comments. I will not join twitter or facebook on principle. I feel a little left out! I would love to have a chance of winning the beautiful bracelet!

I too cannot enter because I do not wish to join twitter or facebook. Are you allowed to differentiate in this day and age.

Same responce as quite of few of previous comments am not on twitter or really want to be ….. very unfair QVC 🙁

I am not on Twitter so it’s a shame the competition is only open to twitter or Facebook . Surely all customers should be included when there is a competition or are we not as loyal.. It’s a lovely bracelet and I would love to win and enjoy wearing.

I would love to enter this competition, however as others have already stated I will not be able to as I have no social media accounts. I have been a loyal QVC customer for 14 years and do all my beauty buying at QVC, as well as some jewellery. I think it is very unfair and disloyal of QVC to discriminate against those of us who have no desire to join social media. Along with some recent delivery and quality issues, I am concerned that QVC is not as good as it used to be. Shame!!

I don’t use Twitter or Facebook but would like the chance to win the bracelet it does seem a bit unfair for those of us who don’t use Facebook or twitter

Very unfair to exclude people (like me) who don’t use Facebook or twitter.

Shame on you Charlie to exclude many loyal QVC customers from your competition just because they do not wish to join twitter or any other social media sites.

Hi Charlie , I am so thrilled that you and Ali listened to my suggestion and have designed a pendant in memory of Amica and other colleagues that you have sadly lost. I can’t wait to see it and to order it as it means so much to me that I have had an input although tiny and that these special people are remembered for their strength and courage and to have a piece of jewellery that represents this and that their memory will live on and that the Pendant will raise money for this important Charity that help so many people in their quest to beat cancer.
I have already ordered the lovely “I HOPE” ring to go with my pendent from last year.
If possible could you let me know the item number for the pendent as I know how quickly these items sell and would hate to miss out.
I’m really looking forward to the show tonight I hope that you will also be presenting again alongside Ali
I hope that Ali and Craig and the rest of the team have an enjoyable and successful show.
Take Care Charlie and thank you again for acting on my suggestion it really does mean so much to me Love Jacqui Hand XXXXXX
PS I’m not on Twitter but if possible please could I be entered into the competition?

Hi, Sincere apologies to those who felt left out of the last competition because you’re not on twitter. The last thing we wanted to do is cause any upset. The next competition you’ll be able to enter via my blog and if I’m able to secure some more jewellery, in the future, I’ll be certain to include that on my blog as well.
    Apologies again.

    Hello Jacqui,
Lovely to hear from you and you most certainly played a role in inspiring the design. Thank you. I’ve only just read your comment. I really, really hope you managed to get one? The show was amazing. Craig, Ali and the entire team did an amazing job.
    Warmest wishes.

I don’t do twitter or facebook so I think this competition is unfair.
