Zumba moves and Yankee news!

Baby RubyHello! Hope you are well and had a great week?

This blog is slightly delayed as I have been busy with launches at QVC and also been back and forth to Bristol a few times, more on that later!

So, my Zumba moves on 'Anything Goes' a couple of weeks ago caused quite a stir and so many people have been contacting me asking how they can see it so I am posting a Youtube video here, apologies the quality isn't great as it's just recorded from my TV but it gives you a good idea of how much fun we had doing it!! I so enjoy working with Nicola & the Zumba girls, their energy is infectious. Do you do Zumba, maybe you bought the DVDs? How are you getting on?

Yankee Candle new fragrances 2013Other big news is that the Yankee Candle large jar candles in the NEW 2013 fragrances are coming back to QVC and will be on Auto Delivery for those of you who missed out. I have been getting so many messages asking about this, I have been driving the planner and buyer mad constantly asking them on your behalf!! 🙂 So, the latest news is that they will be back in stock around mid March. I cant give you an exact date and I am away around that time but the minute I hear anything I will tweet and Facebook it. My advice would be check on the website and watch the Yankee shows from mid March onwards. Apologies for the delay in getting these, there is such demand for them and we at QVC need a lot to satisfy us addicts!!

Even bigger news is that my sister had her baby. She had a little girl they have named Ruby, she was born on the evening of 15th February weighing 8lbs 8oz. She is so beautiful and I am so proud of my sister and the whole family is just brimming over with joy at her arrival. So, I am now a proud uncle of 2 gorgeous nieces and I adore them both. You can see a picture of me and Ruby above.

If you are around 4pm on Monday (25th February) I am hosting my first L'Occitane show! I cannot wait!! I love doing skincare shows and as many of you know I am a bit of a skincare junkie… so if you are around do please tune in and keep me company.

OK, now it's my 3 things of the week…. I love this part!!

HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK: no question, this has to be the arrival of my beautiful new niece Ruby, I just look at her and want to cry, she is so calm and peaceful and the definition of grace. (although my sister says if I could hear her crying in the middle of the night I wouldn't say that!)

FAVOURITE PRODUCT OF THE WEEK: My cooks essentials pressure cooker that I bought when it was a recent TSV. I am eating more macrobiotic food now and it cooks short grain brown rice to perfection!! I just have to resist temptation to now start making scrummy steamed jam puddings!!)

HAPPY THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK: Driving back from Bristol on Tuesday the air was fresh, the sky was blue and the sun followed me all the way along the 2 hour journey on the M4. I had the radio on, I felt ecstatic after meeting Ruby & I was heading to my wonderful job at QVC. "Life is good" I thought, "and I am truly blessed"……

Now, as ever, I would love to know YOURS…it truly means a lot to me when you take time to read and post on my blog, so thank you in advance!

Have a great week and see you over the next few days.

Much love,

Hello Craig, Always like reading your blogs, and that Zumba you did on tv the other night was highly entertaining, also glad you have become an uncle again, my daughter had her first baby on sunday 17th February, he is called Federico and is a little angel, we live in Spain and she is in a relationship with a lovely Spanish man, we are all so happy and its our second grandson, the first one is called Ruben he is our sons little one, he is 18months old, and they really do grow so fast, glad your sister is ok, and that you will be able to see little Ruby as Bristol is not too far away from London, we are lucky that both our grandchildren are here with us in Spain, they give us so much joy, also loving the look of your red velvet cake, must say I have never made one, but will try, maybe you could post the recipe sometime, Love from Janicexxx

    Hi Mr Craig
Love the Zumba moves!!!!! Very tempted with the TSV Morphy Richards mixer but also have Richard Jackson and Laura Geller at weekend and not sure can stretch to all three!!! And of course Elemis is also coming up – will have to decide which one I need more!!!
Many congratulations on the arrival of Ruby. She will be very lucky to have a lovely uncle like you!!! I am sure Jasmine is also delighted with her baby sister and sure will be a help to your sister too.
Highlight of week: Possibly my boss going on holiday!!! Sometimes it is like a marriage and you need a little space from each other!!
Favourite Product: Has to be Yankee Black Coconut wax tart – my all time favourite!!!
Happy Thought: Well the first glimpse of spring always makes me happy, spending time in the garden and seeing all the new “life” coming though – always a happy time.

Highlight on QVC has to be the show I got to present with you and we definitely had a party even if only for 12 minutes, those 12 minutes seem to have caused quite a stir! It must have been your flamenco moves! I love that no matter what frame of mind you are in, a little bit of letting go and dancing makes everything disappear for a while and you can dance like no-one is watching.
Congratulations on your new niece, beautiful babies put the big bad world to one side and just makes you smile…. Now all is needed is a little sunshine, a smile and boogie! 🙂 xxx

    Hi Craig
Congratulations on being an Uncle for the second time – they are both lucky girls with you around to spoil them.
Highlight of the week has got to be using supermarket vouchers to get tickets to the NEC and so costing me nothing!! Now putting a craft/sewing shopping list together.
Favourite product – I was lucky enough to get the large Yankee Candles and love, love, love them. I am at home more now and it gives me the opportunity to burn them while I am working. I’m burning Turquoise Sky at the moment.
Happy thought – seeing the spring flowers coming through in my new garden (only moved in in October). Can’t wait to spend time out there, once the weather gets better.
I have the Zumba discs from the first launch but still nowhere as good as you!! Please carry on entertaining us – you have such a lot of fun, it is infectious.
    Take care
    Ann W x

Hi Craig…… just checking in with you again this week ! I am fast becoming one of ‘Craigs Clan’ !! Really love your ‘three things’ as this keeps us in touch with what is truly important in life. Talking of which…. HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to you and your family on the adorable addition which is RUBY. How beautiful is she ? So lucky to have an adoring uncle like you ! Babies are truly gifts from god and bring so much love and blessings.
Thank you for your blog last week concerning my son. All is not entirely lost as he hopes to be picked to play regional rugby and then he will be in the loop to try again for Wales u18 trials. Also he has applied to go to sports college. All in all Craig he is coping well and I am so proud of him.
Highlight: Seeing my son pick himself up and refocus still with dream intact !!
Product : Still my Emma Hardie. Yes Craig, the moringa balm is my all time favourite. Such an uplifting scent and the results are amazing. Just love watching Emma too as she seems so knowledgable and passionate about her range. Such a character too !!
Happy Thought : When life gives you lemons, you might as well just go ahead and make lemonade !!? lol.
Hope you have a GREAT week Craig, much love and best wishes Helen xxx

So glad to hear you enjoyed the Zumba moves, it was such fun!!
Wonderful to hear a bit about your life in Spain and how you get to see your grandchildren growing up, such a blessing isnt it?
I have seen Ruby twice now and hope to see her at least once a month, she is the most gorgeous little thing and the image of both her mum & her dad!
I actually saw them all this weekend and I also got to spend time with my older niece Jasmine, its been a bit change for her going from the only child so it was great to spoil her with my time & attention – we went dog walking (she loves dogs), had lunch, did her homework and did some shopping for books and lego!!
Which part of spain do you live in Janice? I am off to Gran Canaria on Thursday, so needing some sun!!

Thank you Maureen!! How kind of you to say that.
My on-air clothes now are chosen and styled by one of the QVC Models Katherine Russell (Oneyou.co.uk) and her mum Jane. They are brilliant stylists and really opened my eyes to wearing smarter, brighter clothes so thank you for saying that.

    Hello again Helen
Oh, I love the fact that we are in touch on here, how wonderful to get an update on your son and other news. Yes, sounds like he is a son to be proud of, its not easy to brush yourself off and keep going and that is exactly what he has done……
Yes, Ruby is a little gem (haha, just realised what I said!) and I adore her. How lucky that I have a 10 year old niece I can do dog walking, shopping, art, food etc with and then I have a new little niece who I can enjoy being a toddler and growing up all over again!!! I feel so blessed 🙂
Emma Hardie is truly a special lady, last time I saw her at the beauty bash she made me cry with her love & generosity of spirit, I always give her a really big cuddle when I see her, I will pass on your lovely comments to her.
Love your Happy Thought – bring on the lemonade!!!
