You’re not old… YET!

Racing car It was my partner Chris's birthday on August 30th, and as he turned 55 I keep reminding him that he's now officially closer to 60 than 50 – he's not amused! Although he was very amused with the birthday card I got him. On the front it said 'Old is when' and inside it had things like 'getting lucky means you find your car in the car park' and 'you're cautioned to slow down by your doctor instead of the police'!

Which reminds me, as well as the sat nav and Birkenstock sandals I got him from QVC, we all clubbed together and bought him a Formula One Experience Day at Brands Hatch. He was very surprised (and I think quite pleased), but he did make some comment about beating the record for the slowest time round the track, and was wondering if the sat nav would come in handy to make it to the finish line!

Have you ever had an 'experience day' as a birthday present? And if so, what did you do on your special day?

Speak soon,
Julia. xx.

    Hi Julia
Chris is a lucky man tell him! Being with you should be enough for his Birthday! I would love to do something like that or go to Knnockhill up here in Scotland. Think that would be fab. I did have an experience day and this will really surprise you where I went. in fact I’m going to let you guess! This is like one of your blogs a short time ago except this time YOU are the one guessing

    Hi Julia
My lovely husband bought me a pamper day for my last birthday, and I was lucky enough to enjoy a fantastic Decleor massage, facial, manicure and pedicure, as well as a delicious lunch. Really a great experience as I love Decleor products anyway, and wonderful to escape and de stress.
By way way, 55 is definitely not old as I can personally testify. Congratulations to Chris on achieving this fantastic milestone.

    Hello Morag
Lucky girl!!!!!!!!! I might start to drop very large hints before my next birthday as that sounds like heaven to me! I’m only teasing Chris about his age… let’s face it, I’m only 2 years behind him – I’ve passed the congrats on

    Hi Steven
OK, well it can’t be anything to do with football if it would surprise me, and not car racing as you would like to do it. You’ll have to give me a clue ……… although as a wild guess I’ll say going up in a hot air balloon??
Good luck on Wednesday, and sorry about Scotland not making it past the Netherlands …. you needed James McFadden!
I have NOTHING to say about Palace’s apalling result on Saturday except Scunthorpe deserved to win!
    speak soon

Hi Julia thanks for the good luck message on Wednesday. I have replied in your older blog. I was actually having you on in my first message but it is hard to convey that in a message. It was a trip to Ibrox(surprise surprise) so you were right
Take care and look forward to speaking to you more in both blogs 😀
