    Hi Alison
Can you use SBC Collegen Gel around the eye area? Also i have the type of skin on my face and neck that very easily becomes spotty if I put anything more than a gel based product on it and definitely only one layer of something gel based at that. Necks worse than face for this but I really can see my neck is dehydrated and needs something. Don’t want spotty, lumpy skin though!! Like the sound of SBC Collegen Gel.
Can you advise, I would appreciate it.

Alison you look younger now than years ago. What are u using on your eyes as they look so much younger and lifted. I know you haven’t had any procedures as u often say u wouldn’t go down that route I would love to make an improvement to my eye area as it really bothers me thank you love Karen x

    Hi Alison,
I hope you can help me I have brown spots on the eye lid just below the brow its worse on the left eye than the right and there’s lots of them, and have tried lots of different products, 8 hour cream, bio oil, vaseline but nothing seems to work. Hi – I use much of the skincare featured on QVC and am very happy with the results from all of them. I have a question about ultrasun facial suncare. I know that it has to go on a clean face, once it is on can you then go on to use your other skincare on top of it. For example, I will put on the Ultrasun face, then follow with Decleor oil and then Decleor moisturiser. Will I still get the benefit from my skincare if I wear Ultrasun face as this has to go on clean dry skin will it not act as a barrier against my other moisturisers I use over it and prevent them from working effectively?

    Hi Alison
How long doing I have to wait after applying Ultrasun on my face before I put on my other face products such as nv perricone face firming activator? Are there any face products that I should not use on my face after Ultrasun?

    Hi Alison,
I have been following your advice about skin care etc. for years and now need your help regarding my eyebrows which are thinning rapidly due to the lack of oestrogen. I have been told by my doctor that due to my medically induced menopause (lost my ovaries due to cancer when was 24 and have been on HRT until 8 years ago when I was taken off of it because I had breast cancer)these will fall out completely and not grow back! I do not want to go down the tattooing route so can you please recommend a suitable product which is easy to use and ultimately looks natural. I am currently using YBF eyebrow pencil which looks ok as I still have a few hairs left!
    Thanks
    Gail

I’ve developed white lumps under my skin around my eyes. Is there anything I can use to get rid of them or do I need to see a therapist to have them taken out?
    Thanks

Hi, I’m currently using the Elemis selection, cleanse, tone and the pro collagen moisturiser but have treated myself to the Elemis absolite eye serum. Do I use it under or over my moisturiser? Seeing as I do everything else in order I would be very grateful for your advice. Many thanks Ruth

Hi Alison I am 33 and am having a real problem with my skin. I wondered if you could help me with what to use. I get breakouts on my forehead and chin and there are marks being left when they go away, I also have dryness and dehydration and my skin looks dull all the time. I have also noticed more fine lines appearing around the eye area and my skin doesn’t look as plump as it was.
    Thank you so much.

Hi, I have normal / combo skin and I cannot get my makeup to last on my skin. I have tried lots of different primers, long wear foundations and nothing works. Is there anything I can do to help my makeup especially my foundation to last longer?
    Thanks

Hi Alison,i have been ill with a neurological desease for the best part of twenty years,im 38 now,but i was involved in an accident nearly 6yrs ago now which has left me severely disabled & 99% house bound. I have never had a skin care routine to speak of to my shame, although i have been lucky & have no signs of aging as yet. I do wear make-up from time to time, although it was applied everyday & much heavier before the accident than it is now. It has only been a doorstep delivered brand since the accident due to my physical limitations,as i didnt know about the brands available from qvc till recently.Whenever i’ve worn make-up in the past 6yrs,within an hour it disappeared, that is until i bought a high end base & foundation, now it lasts approx 6 hours! I have constantly got very sore spots & skin, greasy feeling skin & hair & i wondered if it was due to my illness, being indoors(i dont have central heating) or if its the 40 tablets i take daily that could be causing my problem? Please could you help me Alison?Do you think its due to medication or being indoors constantly?……….1.how do i get a good skin care & what do i use? 2.how do i get rid of the sore skin & spots? 3.how do i get my make-up last all day & what do i use for that too? Kind regards & thank you so much!

    Hi Alison
    I am late 50’s and addressing my pigmentation problems;
Would you recommend the strongest treatment for my arms and lower legs please?
The skin on my lower legs is crêpey, is this dry skin? I have tried exfoiliating, and even using some face masks, which improve them but will be expensive. Moisturisers work to some degree but I feel I need more.
Like you I ride and my legs don’t see much daylight!

    Hi Alison
i have suffered cold sores all my life, fortunately only on my lower lip. Now I have a distinct lack of pigmentation so my lower lip looks thin and uneven. Most lipsticks (I tried Gale Haymans – instantly drying on me) and found Gatineau 3D Lift great but no colour.
Can you suggest a long lasting, with SPF, neutral coloured gloss/lip treatment to replace my long standing Chap Stick!!
Needs to stay on, not melt in my hot pocket, have SPF and moisture but with some pigmention. Or something to go with my Chap Stick??
    thanks

    Hi Alison,
Have enjoyed watching your Beauty Shows and listening to all your advice, not to mention your humour can be a tonic!
Alison, almost two years ago I finally worked out what was still causing my skin to be problematic with breakouts at the then age of 42 years old.
I live in London, but went to Scotland for a fortnight in summer 2010 to an area where they have soft water unlike in London where we have hard water. My skin cleared up radically whilst I was there. I used the same products I had been using in London before going, so the only thing different going on my face was the water. I came back to London, continuing to use the same products still, only for the utter frustration of breakouts to start all over again. I put two and two together and realised my skin must be ultra sensitive to the hard water in London.
I bought Purified Water from the chemist with the idea in mind to remove hard water residue after washing face, and so since 2010, after rinsing off face cleanser in shower, I have been following up with using the Purified Water on flat cosmetic pads (just as you would sweep a toner over the face). The difference in my skin has been amazing and it is the only change I have made. I was always trying this, that and the other cleanser, thinking if I could only find the right cleanser my face would clear up. Now, after all those years of distress and utter frustration, I realise it was rather a case of finding the right water! No wonder when I used to use cleansers which are removed with toners my skin would behave much better because no hard water was touching my skin! Just that I find wash-off cleansers easier plus like the feeling of rinsing with water.
It is such a shame to think so many people’s skin could be problematic first and foremost for the same reason that mine was. (Just as a by the way, I have been using Bare Minerals Purifying Facial Cleanser this last while which I really like from the point of view of the minerals it is made from plus lots of other natural ingredients. A little goes a long way, pump dispenser is so easy to use, it is very good at shrinking pore size, and can even be used on the eyes – all around them – and does not sting even when eyes are open, must do an official review of this product!)
It is not fair that we are suffering for living in hard water areas – we don’t choose the water we are supplied with, we just get it.
What I wanted to ask Alison, is do you know of any systems I could have put in place that would remove the limescale from my water in the first place so that there would not even be the need to follow up with the Purified Water? Thank you.
