Mammio Mio Bootcamp for TummiesI hope you all enjoyed last week's Beauty Fix. Incase you missed the Facebook chat after the show on Thursday, here are the top 3 questions that were asked…

Best thing to use for stretch marks

Q. Could you tell me the best thing to use on stretch marks? Suffered with them from being a teen (bust area) and the ones on my stomach are really bothering me (pregnancy 9yrs ago).

I also lost nearly 2st since xmas, which has made them look worse. I exfoliate and use a decent body cream and on wait list for prolagene gel duo but I'm open to try anything to improve them, if only they could vanish!

A. Unfortunately stretch marks cannot be vanished. There is some light therapy that you can have done through private clinics that will probably have the most effective result.

Prolagene gel is the best product and for a fast track start, you could try Mammio Mio Bootcamp for Tummies. Also remember self tan disguises them fantastiically! ALi x

Mally waterproof mascara

How to make eye make up stay on with watery eyes

Q.  I have terrible watery eyes due to after effects of chemotherapy, I need an eyeliner and mascara that won't come off. Ali, please help. Thanks in advance x

A. You need the Mally waterproof mascara with the New CID eyeliner but the trick is that when you apply, skin and lashes must be dry. Pre-powder with a loose powder and then apply.

Liner on the lower eye area stays put longer when used in the rim and then when your eyes water, you can still dab underneath the eyes without messing up the liner.

And concentrate your liner shapework on the upper lid above the lashes. Ali x

bareMinerals foundation

On oily skin

Q.  My skin is so oily, I use SBC for toning, moisturising ,face cream, but wake up every morning looking like I have a put olive oil on my face, by then end of the day I am positively slippery. What am I doing wrongly.

A. You need to make sure you're doing the same routine each morning as well to cleanse, hydrate and balance the skin and then it should stop it being so oily through the day.

Also you may prefer something like the matte primer in light from Smashbox which absorbs oil or the bareMinerals foundation – the matte formula.

And if you are already happy with your make-up but just need mattifying, use the Laura Geller matte maker. Ali x

To the lady needing mascara. I too have had problems with watery eyes and all mascaras I have tried (including all those professing to be waterproof or even ‘bullet proof’) have ended up on my eyelids and underneath my eyes – not a good look! That is until I tried Liz Earle mascara base and mascara. It’s fabulous, not only does it stay put till I take it off, but it also makes my lashes longer and fuller, without clumping.

Hi. I travel every week with work, often on flights and end up decanting all my hair/beauty products into 50ml and less bottles … And then forget which is which :). Worse is that you can fit very little into those little plastic bags so really need to pare down. Any chance that some of the great brands on qvc (perricone, Richard ward, Gatineau, etc) could create some smaller sizes please?
