Sparkly treats from Loverocks!

From lost stones to loveRocks!

Hi all!

Hope you’re all well. I must admit to being more well than ever! Many of you have noticed the change in me, too. Thank you for all the great comments over on Twitter. If you don’t follow me please feel very welcome to do so. I’m @TheHuntley over there.

My new state of wellbeing is down to #theyearichangedmylifeforever or, in other words, The Body Rescue Plan by Christianne Wolff! If you’re thinking the name Wolff sounds familiar it’s because she is the sister of Kipling guest, Marie Francoise Wolff. She is a personal trainer, nutritionist and Reiki healer and my new BFF (best friend forever)! Her book is a 12-week plan (but with the view to carrying on the good habits beyond that time). I’m almost eight weeks in,  have lost over one and a half stone and feel fantastic! I have some great news for you…QVC heard about my weight loss, read about Christianne and her work and will be selling her book live on air! We hope to debut it in November so watch this space!

At the Goodwood Revival Festival

Sailor crewI was fortunate enough to go to the Goodwood Revival festival last weekend with my best friend, Mandy. I was thrilled to get into this vintage-syle sailor dress after my weight loss! We met up with my lovely friend, Angelina, and her lifelong chum, Fiona. It was a wonderful, sunny, girly day as well as a step back in time watching all of the vintage cars, bikes and outfits pass by! Loved it!

Catherine with friends

If you know me at all you’ll know I also adore my sparklies! We have a gorgeous Today’s Special Value from loveRocks coming up next Monday. I’ll be with you live at midnight on Sunday into the early hours of Monday morning. It’s priced to delight and designed to thrill all like-minded magpies. I hope you can join us. If you’d like to know more about this beautiful range of jewellery check out this interview with designer Michael Waterman.

I look forward to seeing you soon, take care and enjoy this late summer weather we’re getting!

Love Catherine xx

    Hi Catherine,
You look lovely in your vintage dress. I absolutely love anything vintage and always watch Lulu Guinness’ hours. I was thrilled to discover a liitle boutique in my town selling vintage style bags and was raving on about them as I have been looking for bags like them for ages.
Have you any more plan’s for visiting Wales? I replied previously to one of your blogs when you did your design for the Welsh gold jewellery. We have had fantastic weather here in Wales for the past few weeks. I love the Autumn especially when the weather has been so nice. I may be bias though about the Autumn as it is my birthday the fist week of October and I always remember sunny warm Autumnal days when I would have my friends around for my birthday.
    Best wishes, Tina S. (S.Wales)

Hi Catherine, i have not done anything like this before!. l love watching you on QVC-and of course, love shopping from there! I wanted to say congratulations on your weight loss, you look lovely (you looked lovely before too). What I wanted to tell you was that, on seeing all you girlies on your day out reminded me of my daughter’s wedding in June. I have 5 lovely grand daughters between 3 and 13 and they all had their hair done by a lovely young couple in our town who do vintage/wedding hair. My 2 daughters and I had our hair done too, of course. This lovely young couple bought an old ambulance and converted this into a mobile hairdressing unit and call it their Glambulance, its lovely. The young woman wears her hair and clothes in a vintage style. My grand daughters were all delighted to pop out of the door and into the Glambulance, which is so girly. They all looked so gorgeous with their hair done up in a vintage, wedding style.Your photos reminded me of our lovely day and I thought you might like to hear about it.

    Hi Jean,

Thanks for your kind comments. You know me, I love dressing up, playing with hair and having fun with make up! I had quite a few people ask me where I got my hair done but I did it myself with a few grips, a bit of back combing and a whole lot of Lulu’s glam hairspray. Really holds well!

It was a magical day and the weather was just perfect, too.

I hope you’re well and enjoying the extended sunshine we are being treated to lately.

    Love Catherine x

    Hi Adrian,

You’re so right! There’s so much to do and see besides the cars! They were wonderful, too, of course but I’d say it was the general vibe of authenticity with all the clothes, stalls, shops, just everything that made it feel so nice. Can’t wait to go again!

    Hi Tina,

Happy birthday! I may not have the exact day but you mentioned it was the first week in October so I thought I’d send you wishes. Actually what I should say is Penblwydd Hapus!

You asked if I had plans for visiting Wales…I had two visits last week. One was to Clogau HQ to start designing my next design collaboration with them. It’s so lovely already as we will be using a very special stone…more on that later. I also visited Cardiff with Craig Rowe to visit our gorgeous friend, Steven Corfield, from Yankee Candle. I’ll do an update on my next blog but needless to say I went all mushy and my heart just sang at being back in Wales. Happens every time.

I hope you’re enjoying the sun we are here down south. It’s so pretty today.

    Sending you much love,

    Catherine xx

    Hi Dee,

I am so glad you wrote in! I LOVE the story you shared with me of your daughters wedding. Sounds like a dream wedding to me. How lovely.

The Glambulance! How very inspired! I love things like that, something unique, fun and happy. How sweet! Although, if it was near to me I may spend a fortune calling the Glambulance on speed dial. One of the sweetest, cutest things I’ve heard in a long time.

Don’t be shy to write in again, you’re welcome anytime!

    Love Catherine x

Hi Catherine. You have always looked beautiful, but now you look absolutely stunning! Well done on the weight loss, but it is the confident glow you have which is so lovely. Having seen the results you have had I can’t wait for the book to air :-) I have lost over 9 stone since starting my cancer (and weightloss!) journey but have lost my dieting mojo a bit lately – the plan you have been following looks like the answer for me…. the diet fairy had been listening after all !!!!

    Dear Karen,

Thank you so much for writing in. I’m really sorry it’s taken so long to reply to you!

I’m so sorry to hear of your battle with cancer. I hope things are going as well as they can be. You sound inspirationally upbeat and I’m sure that gets you through, like our dear Alison Keenan. I’m humbled by your lovely comments. Thank you again.

I’m really looking forward to having Christianne on air in January. She is such a lovely, down to earth, caring soul. I think you’ll like her, too.

Sending you big hugs and love,

    Hi Lisa,

Thanks for the kind comments on my loss and vintage dress. You’re from near my neck of the woods…I’ll have to look out for that shop in Dorking. QVC’s staff Christmas party is themed this year…50’s Candy Bar! Yay! So excited!

Love your attitude, you only live once, you’re not hurting anyone so get out there and glam up vintage style!

    Hi Linda,

Yes, I agree! It would be brilliant. Or, if she could clone herself to get the price down but there’s just one of her so that’s why she’s written the book so we can all enjoy the experience.

For me, I’ve had a long and winding relationship with food and it’s not always been good. In fact, I have been very unhealthy and uneducated over the years. Sadly, I lost my father to heart disease when I was in my twenties and I realised that my health could go the same way if I carried on like I was. To me, I’ve now changed for life. Everyone finds their own way and not everything will be for everybody but, for me, how I feel and the changes I’ve made you can’t put a price on. My children are nearing the age I was when my dad died and I’d hate for them to lose me so young. I want to be around as long as I can.

I’m not 100% sure of the price we will have on her book but I know Christianne is trying to make it accessible to all.

Keep well & thanks for writing in,

    Catherine x
