You like making Yankee cocktails too!

Craig with Sweet Strawberry & Sparkling Lemon Hi there!

Hope you're all having a good week so far. I had a fab start to the week with the launch of Monday's Yankee Candle TSV, what fun! It was great to see the lovely Michaela as always, and I'd even managed to get my hands on the fruit option before the show so I was already hooked – could you tell?!!

Thank you so much to Val, Kathyrn, Darren and Deb for your fabulous Yankee cocktail suggestions; Kathyrn suggested Malaysian Palm with Dune Grass (very exotic!) and Darren loved the combination of Black Cherry with Vanilla Cupcake (one word: SCRUMMY!).

Looking ahead to tomorrow, I'm back in the kitchen at midday for the Weekend Kitchen, so please do join me there – and remember that if you have any questions you want to ask or tips you want to share, I'd love to hear from you during the show.

See you Saturday,
Love,
Craig. xx.

I did join you for Weekend kitchen (via SkyPlus since I was at the hairdressers being transformed – I wish!) and did notice a veggie-friendly frittata! I also liked the fact that it was just presented as a food option, not specifically a veggie one! It makes such a change to see food that happens to be vegetarian, rather than vegetarian food, if you catch my drift! I once overheard two ladies in a’ well-known high street store with a food hall’ debating over buying a cheese sandwich that was labelled ‘suitable for vegetarians’ – as if, because they weren’t veggies themselves, they couldn’t eat a sandwich that they must have had a million times in their lives! Loved the look of the salmon dish too! Great shows, these Weekend Kitchens – nice to have a show about cooking for real people by real people, rather than all the fancy-dancy chef food. Lovely, thought that is, most of us don’t have time, even if we have the inclination! Thanks again and keep the veggie-friendly recipes coming!
