Gotta love a pom pom! Well I certainly do. I knew I liked them but as I sat to ponder upon my blog it became abundantly clear. I LOVE them.
From the cardboard circles I painstakingly wrapped in wool as a child creating pom poms which then had googly eyes stuck on to make a friend (!), to the somewhat larger and sparklier pom poms I gaily waved as a member of G Force whose job on a Saturday night was to cheer everyone on as the Gladiators battled their way to glory!
We certainly kept the audience crazily cheering in their seats and the weight of the pom poms we worked with absolutely ensured the arms were toned and the six pack was evident! Oh how this picture makes me and Lindsey my wonderful friend and fellow G Force member laugh our heads off…just how long is my body!
I have a thing for them there is no doubt, a lot of my soft furnishings are finished with a little string of gaily bobbing pom poms and if I had the energies I reckon my clothes would get the same treatment!
And look, my garden is rather resplendently punctuated with pom poms too in the form of gorgeous alliums.
So when I first spied the pom pom necklace on our models on the catwalk that was it, I had to track it down. It was sadly not in stock but I kept on looking, when lo and behold there it appeared on my dressing table at QVC.
Fornash is the name of the range of jewellery, it’s a wonderful complement to all the summer fashions around and certainly adds some sparkle and colour. I was super happy to see the pieces in my dressing room and have worn them uplifting my mood. They are fun, flirty and fabulous. There’s a lovely bracelet that Maddie and many of my guests at QVC have complimented me on, I’ve layered it with the pom pom bracelet here but it’s really stylish solo too. So, gorgeous fun and youthful pieces I think, that add a certain edgy cheekiness to the proceedings – that’s Fornash for you.
Here’s a peek at the pieces….
Talking of youthful, anything to retain that youthful glow! Now I’ve hit 50 I was even more interested to hear about Imedeen’s Advanced Beauty Shots along with the supplements which we will feature throughout Saturday as our Today’s Special Value. There’s a lot of press about ingestibles and Grazia, Hello and Stylist magazines are currently talking about the next stage of skincare. (Well worth a read to get to grips with how it all works.) Imedeen’s Collagen shots are Number 1: three years in the development and the first new launch for Imedeen in seven years so quite rightly there’s a huge excitement and buzz around them. And Number 2: I mean what could be easier than a quick swig and a swallow! A targeted treatment from the inside to work along with the supplements plus all that we are doing with the amazing technologies in our oils, serums, SPF’s and moisturisers… perhaps we should start to carry around ID!!!
Imedeen were the first skincare tablet brand on the market back in 1991 and are specially designed for different ages and skincare needs, taking your beauty routine to a higher level and as we know when we actually SEE the visible signs of ageing its been on the inside waaaay before.
If you have a special occasion, a reunion or a family gathering, where you just want to be at your optimum – maybe you’ve lost weight or have been particularly busy and stressed – this could be a spectacular boost, after all those photos we all take are now EVERYWHERE aren’t they, so if we can look our best for that moment… bonus!
The lovely Emma Minderides will be the bringing us the Today’s Special Value on Saturday 1st July, she conducts the High Res Ultra sound Dermal skin consultations for customers and beauty journalists and is Imedeen’s UK Beauty Advisor for the last 8 or so years so don’t forget any questions you have she can answer for you ahead of or on the day, I am @clairesuttonqvc on Twitter if you want to be in touch.
Anything we can do to help us hold our youth, pom poms an’ all, has got to be a great idea and as my three are all now teenagers I’m feeling a little less youthful for sure! Maddie celebrated her 13th birthday in style with her lovely friends camping in the garden. Here’s Tom with Dan doing the set up… small problem was Dan forgot to turn off the irrigation system whilst we were at the party… so the tent had become a swimming pool! The girls were very definite they wanted to be out there (crazy bunch!) so a mop and a lot of my airing cupboard were put to use to dry it out!
I was asked to stay in the kitchen at her party and not embarrass her… a dangerous request I thought as everything in me wanted to join in with the 50 or so kids and dance away, however I dutifully refrained and behaved like a proper mother… this time anyway!
So to make up for it I’m on the shots whilst swinging my poms… ( collagen shots of course), fancy joining me??!!
Hope you are all super good and handling this spell of warmer weather, though rain has thankfully appeared for a little respite. I’m praying that it is fine from now as Tom is having his Prom… as one chapter finishes another begins. I will take lots of photos of him and share them with you. Haircut is done, suit is hanging up ready and Maddie is going to give him a facial after school tonight!
