Take a look at my dogs in the snow

10

Yay, the snow’s gone – at the time of writing anyway! Never thought I’d be so glad to see the green, green grass of Dorking again. Mud's better for marching in any day, compared to loose snow, which feels like a walk along a shingle beach! Still, think of the thighs, love, think of the thighs!

Living in the Surrey Hills, I'm a short walk away from lovely open fields and country walks – one of the things I’ve always wanted in life! The views are magnificent, and you don't get dirty paws all over your car every time you want to walk them! Fields on three sides and a gastro pub across the road – lovely! I took a little bit of video so you could 'accompany' me on one of my walks!

The dogs, or 'pogs' as my mum affectionately nicknamed them, love the snow, sort of. Once they've played in it for long enough they do appreciate being allowed further into the house, even though one of them takes liberties!

Now the kids are at uni and work, and I'm an empty nester, I've got wonderful neighbours (and family) who help out with the dogs when I'm called away for overnight stays in London hotels, especially recently when my poor colleagues were snowed in and couldn't make it in for their shifts!

I've had four overnight stays during the bad weather – heavy going but I was pleased to be able to help out. It was made easier by a fabulous back rub in between shows from magic-fingers Michaela from Gatineau. And a WONDERFUL Liz Earle facial from the lovely Jo at the Sloane Square studio – OMG so highly recommended, I can’t tell you! Still at least you can do a home version with some of Liz’s products. Make sure you don’t miss her shows on Saturday 6th Feb.

Sally Morgan in Dorking

I love psychic programmes and so does my daughter Lauren, so she was thrilled when we went to Sally’s show in Dorking last autumn. We got a personal reading, which has been featured on her new series I’m told! So yes, it was me and my glamorous sister on the promo for those that asked, and I look forward to seeing the episode with our bit in it. If you spot it let me know.

Have a lovely week and speak again soon.

    Hi Debbie
My friend and I went to Vegas a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Stayed at Bellagio which was great. Trip to Grand Canyon is a must – no 2 ways about it. We also saw Celine Dion in Caesar’s Palace – Fabulous! Appearing now in Vegas is my all time favourite singer – GARTH BROOKS – YOU CANNOT GO TO VEGAS WITHOUT SEEING HIM. His show is not free but Garth has a reputation for giving a fab show for the money. Ok he is a country singer and its not fashionable to like country music in this country but trust me you will not regret it. Please don’t come back and say you didn’t go to his show. – Jen

    Hi Debbie,
I have been chuckling away to myself watching your wee Holly (or big Holly next to my little smurf!) because she’s just like my wee dog Kyla. She’s a Pomeranian and she is just such a princess! No bed on the floor for this one, she insists on curling up on my pillow.
The video of the dogs running about in the snow is gorgeous – i want to live there! Although in Glasgow we’ve had plenty snow too, but it’s all gone now. Touch wood!
Just watching you on the Diamonique Finale, tempted by soooo many things! Hee hee
    Take care :)

    Hi Debbie,
My boyfriend surprised me in November and took me to Vegas and I had a fantastic time. I agree the Grand Canyon is a must. You can see alot of free shows on the strip like the Bellagio dancing fountains, Tressure Island Pirate show and The Mirage Hotel Volcano. I went to see The Blue Man Group and they were amazing. Make sure you bring some walking shoes and your credit card as there is lots of shopping to do if you have some spare days. We paid 7$ each for a Deuce bus ticket, you can go on the bus as many times as you like for 24 hrs, which was great as there is loads of walking to do. Hope you have an amazing time like I did :-)

My favourite hotel is The Venetian. All the rooms are suites so lovely & big and a good position too for walking up and down The Strip. Also if you stay at one of the wings you don’t have to always walk through the casino which is a huge plus.
I would definitely suggest seeing ‘O’ at The Bellagio, it’s brilliant. Sit up high to get a good view of the stage. Book well in advance though.
Also as Jen suggested, a trip over The Grand Canyon is a must but go very early in the morning for a less bumpy ride

Lol – no not Sally Lindsay, Sylvia, just my sister Linda! Yes we were lucky enough to get a reading from Sally Morgan when we were in the audience when she appeared in Dorking last Autumn – it may be on this series! I love all that stuff so was thrilled and it was certainly an uncanny reading! :-) x

    Hi Debbie
Been to Vegas some time ago now but stayed at the Hilton. It was superb and we actually did see George Clooney by the hotel swimming pool!!!! so you never know.
I think that the trip over the grand canyon is much better by helicopter than the small plane…more serene.
Hope this helps. Keep up the good work.

Absolutely love Las vegas, we have been twice now and are planning another trip in March.I would like to reiterate all the other suggestions but a couple of my own are, If you go to the Grand Canyon then carry on a bit further to Monument Valley,It is awesome. Also you must visit the Liberace Museum. It is very interesting to see his custom made cars,Jewellery.including a ring that was given to him by our Late queen mother. And his costumes of course that are spectacular. It is well worth a couple of hours of your time.
Have a great time anyhow,I’m sure you will,Love Pat S xx
