Hello! How are you? Hope you are well and have had a good week.
This week has been another busy one for me:
Yankee Store – last weekend Catherine and I went to visit Guest Presenter Steven Corfield in his Yankee Candle shop in Cardiff. It was a wonderful trip; Catherine and I are great friends and always have fun together; and as you know I am half Welsh so I always feel at home in Wales.
The highlight of the store was seeing Steven’s private collection of rare Yankee Candles. I tried to prise the ‘Movie Night’ candle away from him but he was having none of it! Rosa joined us too so it was wonderful to be all together. We then spent the evening with Steven and had a wonderful chat about our love of Yankee Candles over dinner – wonderful!!
Fashion Show – I was delighted to attend the Breast Cancer Care Fashion Show this Wednesday. It was the second time I have attended and wow, what a night! To see and meet so many inspirational and incredible women and men was such an honour. The atmosphere was magnificent and of course lots of money was raised for this brilliant charity. I am so excited to be co-hosting the live 3 hour show this year – please join myself and Ali Keenan on 13th October from 6pm.
Christmas Meat – I am launching the Christmas Festive Meat Hamper from Green Seasons on Sunday night and wow, what a brilliant idea it is! Everything from your Christmas turkey and all the trimmings, to the topside of beef and even gammon, is delivered to your door hassle-free to see you through Christmas.
I have to say I was super impressed by the delivery and the packaging – I was home for its arrival but then had to rush out for the day. By the time I got home in the evening the meat was still frozen solid (thanks to the brilliant dry ice) and I was able to put straight in my freezer ready to enjoy over Christmas. The whole experience is wonderfully stress-free, and of course the meat is premium grade all from the UK. Just make room in your freezer as I did!
Finally, what three things have made you happy this week? Here are mine:
1 – My train journey to Cardiff with Catherine, we had so much to talk about and she is such a loving person.
2 – Enjoying the feeling of 1st October, the first day of a new month always feels like a fresh start.
3 – Waving and dancing to incredible Letitia as she strutted down the cat walk at the Breast Cancer Care fashion show – you will meet on the Live 3 hour show, she is really quite incredible!
Bye for now, big hugs and see you on the weekend!!
