I hope all’s well with everyone and summer’s shaping up well for you all.
I managed to grab a few days break last week and enjoyed the beautiful British weather. You see we do get more than one days sunshine…well sometimes! We had a scorching day down in West Sussex visiting my dear Mum who was celebrating her birthday.
She wasn’t the only one celebrating a birthday that week as Ellie had her first birthday! Her breeder Carole sent her a “princess” card and my daughter, Ali just couldn’t resist taking this picture! Don’t worry the crown stayed in place for a good 2 seconds longer.
Have you noticed that there’s a lot of strange viruses doing the rounds at the moment.? I picked up something a couple of weeks ago and I can’t shake it off. The trouble is I kept thinking it was pollen related sore throat and just ploughed on, like we do – but it’s well and truly outstayed it’s welcome and I think a visit to the Doc’s is on the cards as it is now residing in my chest and I need to evict it!
All being well, I’ll be presenting Diamonique ‘All that Glitters’ solo on Wednesday at 10pm followed by an hour of ‘Accessories by Kipling‘ with the lovely Marie Francoise. It’s not confirmed, but I’m hoping for a nice ‘One Time Only’ offer to finish off the day, fingers crossed.
Don’t miss Yankee Candle’s offer this Friday!
On Friday at Midnight I’ll be presenting a new ‘Yankee Candle” Today’s Special Value with Steven Corfield – It’s a lovely 39-piece ‘Summer holiday hamper”, Comprising of 12 Votive Candles, 24 Tea lights and two special Glass bucket Votive holders all in a very Summery Blue stripe Hamper. It’s a travel inspired collection, think African Safari with ‘Kilimanjaro Stars’, ‘Serengeti Sunset’, ‘Madagascan Orchid’ to name but three of the votives included.
You can also take advantage of the TSV price and opt for the Auto Delivery plan and you can receive a second delivery of “Winter” fragrances in November and a third delivery of “Spring” scents in March.
The total burn time from the Summer collection is up to an amazing 324 hours – or 13.5 days but I wanted to put that to the test ! So, I decided to do my own experiment, and produced a time-lapse video – click on the video to see how I got on, if you’re wondering it’s the Pink Hibiscus taken from the TSV that I was burning and cunningly replaced with a non-TSV votive for the photo. I have also flagged that my camera battery ran out near the end. At the time I was watching the drama of England v Australia in the Cricket and didn’t realise it had died, therefore there is about a 20 minute chunk missing,(blink and you miss it) but the candle kept burning!
