Karen Livermore, editor of Woman magazineAs part of QVC's partnership with Woman magazine, we caught up with the new editor Karen Livermore to find out her top beauty tips…

How would you describe your own beauty regime?

I have to confess, my beauty regime has slipped a little recently. We've been working so hard on the new look of Woman magazine!

But the great thing about my job is, I get to see and try all the great new products that are coming out. I like to treat myself every now and then, and I always have my hair highlighted at the salon but I never seem to be able to make it shine – if anyone knows how, I'd love to know!

Woman magazine Do you have any beauty tips?

All the old wives tales and DIY beauty tricks really fascinate me – things like magnesium sulphate to bring out ingrown hairs and lemon juice to soften dry elbows. I'm not sure if I'd be brave enough to try all of them though, some of the ones like rubbing coffee grounds on your cellulite in the shower sound far too messy!

What are the upcoming beauty trends?

There are lots of colours about at the moment which is fun for summer. And it's surprisingly easy to wear if you know how.

We’ve been showing readers how to recreate key beauty trends, and busy mum Claire, who modelled this summer's pastel eyeshadows for us, looked amazing. She said she'd never have dared to experiment on her own but the simple steps made her feel more confident. Everyone can wear the trends, it's just about having the know-how and making it work for you.

Who would you most like to interview and why?

Johnny Depp! What woman wouldn't want to meet him? He's still a bit of a mystery despite being a huge star and I'd love to find out a bit more about him.

Tune in to our Woman magazine shows on Tuesday 4th May at 9am, Friday 7th May at 2pm, Tuesday 11th May at 9am and Wednesday 12th May at 11pm.

Keep your eyes peeled for more tips from Woman magazine coming soon…

stroke olive oil (very sparingly) on the eyelashes a couple of nights a week, my Italian sister in law told me that mothers do this to their children lashes.
