Just thought I’d do a quick blog before Christmas, to wish you all a very happy festive season and a wonderful 2017. The decorations are all up (here are some pictures from around my home!), the presents are wrapped and I’m finally all ready for the big day.
I’ll actually be working most of Christmas – I’ll be with you right up until Christmas Eve and then back in for the Morning Show on Boxing Day, so I just have Christmas Day off. There didn’t seem to be much point in going all the way back to where I live in Gloucestershire for just one day, so instead the hubby is coming to London and we’ve booked into a hotel.
I’ve got a little mini tree to put up in the hotel room though, to make it feel a bit more festive, and there’s a pool and spa so hubby can entertain himself while I’m at work. He’s also bringing his bike as he fancies a bit of London cycling too while I’m working, and while the roads are relatively quiet! We’ve booked into a few very nice restaurants as well, so it will be lovely I’m sure.
Thank you so much for all your support over the past year – I was overwhelmed by all the birthday wishes I had when I turned fifty back in April, and again with all the kind messages and sponsorship when I did my big 100km charity event in August. You are all so lovely. I hope you have a fabulous Christmas – if it’s not your favourite time of year, I hope you come through it relatively unscathed, and if you don’t celebrate it, have a great weekend. See you on the other side!
