My best friend Lorraine died suddenly the day after boxing day a few years ago, she was just 40, far too young. She was bubbly, kind, caring and full of life, and I miss terribly. Since her passing i have learnt not to sweat the small stuff, life is too short. i have a lovely photo of her beaming with joy taken one Christmas, her smile lifts my spirits every time I look at it. You are always in my thoughts Lorraine especially at Christmas time. To all best friends everywhere thank you, and I wish you a happy Christmas.xxxxxxxxx

My best friend Mandy Anderson, grew up living next door to me. I have had very little confidence since having psoriasis aged eight. Mandy has always encouraged me to go out and make the most of life, even when I knew I looked awful, she’s given me so much support and love, I thank her everyday. She my very special best friend. I am now under treatment via injection from specialist, psoriasis cleared and I love life so much. Mandy now has a thirteen year old son, who has a lot of medical problems, I hope I’m being the supportive friend she was to me. Mandy loves make up and looking good, please help me say a BIG THANK YOU to my best friend, it would mean so much to me, she’s a real treasure! Xx

I would share the hamper with my sister and my mum, my mum has had two terrible years health, hospital, tests, and more test and now is finally on the mend. And my sister Caroline has been running around like a headless chicken keeping mum on the right track with all the appointments looking after all her needs, she also works doing Rakei at the local hospice she has been coming to treat me with my MS and helping me with my house move, and I live in the next County which is over an hours drive away, she is one in a million and I love her to bits.

We have seen each other through teenage angst, marriages, kids, kids’ teenage angst, divorces and lots more. Well, my best friend has been my best friend for 38 years we have been through so much together, through losing our parents ,getting married , splitting up with partners, but most of all we know how to have a good laugh , we have had some fantastic holidays , and times together and continue to do so ,I know she’s always there if I need her as I am for her , we have different interest s but our main one is having fun , were both 50 , and we feel in our 20s in the head , after a great night out our bodies tell us different though !!!we always say we are sisters ,my hubby always says brace yourselves double trouble when we’re together . My best friend was never into makeup , but I give her make overs and when she sees the the end result, she can see what a difference a little makeup makes ,I do my makeup and we’re ready for a good night out whether it’s for a meal , night out at the theatre , or a party with Stacey’s makeup all you need to take with you is lipstick/ gloss and maybe some powder

They will be the first to laugh with you through the happy times & cry with you when you can’t take anymore. They celebrate your achievements & like nothing more than a good night out with no men allowed! In short they are angels in training for their wings. I would not be without my bff! :)

My fabulous friend Lockie is just so funny and mad. This has been a really horrible year for her due to marriage breakdown and illness. But she doesn’t ask anyone for help. She stays smiling and is so so strong ( which I didn’t think she would) . Although she is normally a very laid back person, boy , has she shown some fire in her belly.
She does inspire with her inner strength and resilience against everything that has been thrown at.
She makes me feel inspired to become fierce when I need to be and fabYou lous on other days.

My best friend Yasmin, is the funniest, caring people I know. She has three beautiful children who are kind and well mannered. She works full time as a carer, runs a house, and looks after her disabled mum. She never complains, never has time for herself, and still finds time for me! I am always in awe of her. If I won this it would go straight to her as she deserves it wholeheartedly to pamper herself, I love her and she is not only my best friend she is my sister ❤️

When life throws a little trial at me my BFF Charisse just knows what to say to make it seem manageable & not such a task. I admire her so much, she an A&E nurse in a busy department, she has such a lovely manner with the clients. She’s a mum of 3, although her 1st baby girl sadly passed away at 6mths due to a rare genetic disorder, SMA. She’s a wife, daughter, sister but for me the most caring, most understanding, most witty, most supportive person I know. Even when life is falling apart around her she is always there.

Although I have had a terrible year health wise I always feel slightly sad at this time of year because unfortunately my friend doesn’t have a mum or dad to share christmas with and although “us mums” do everything to make Christmas special it’s more special when you have a mum of your own to share it with so a gift like this would certainly cheer her up.

I’ve never been one for long make-up routines and much of the talk about concealers, highlighters, foundations, BB creams, primer, stuff you put underneath, stuff you put on top and other stuff for in-between if you want……it was overwhelming frankly.

But as I got older I realised my skin needed a helping hand where I had been able to do without before. So I started to experiment and spent a fortune in the process….and to be honest ended up feeling as though I looked like some dreadful stage parody of myself. I just didn’t know what I was doing with it all,. And if I am honest, I didn’t really want to learn either – I don’t want to be a make-up artist, I just want to feel OK about myself while out and about.

Pure chance I tuned in during a rare day at home and caught the tail end of Stacey presenting the Complexion Perfection palette. “Why not?” I thought, I’ve bought just about every other brand there is……

Wow – I don’t want to be too evangelistic about this wee pot of magic but it answered all my prayers in one hit. I’m very pale skinned, have high colour and dark eye shadows….it deals with all this easily and with a simple, single sweep of a sumptuous brush. Its an absolute doddle to use and I just won’t be without it – I’ll go out without mascara on but not without ybf !!

Since then I have tried a few other products in the range – my favourites being the eyebrow pencil (which is every bit as easy to use as the powder and I didn’t realise until then what a difference brows make, being pale I’d never really had them!) the under brow highlighter and brush which ‘finish’ the look in seconds and the marvellous tweezers which have yet to be given a hair they can’t deal with easily – a bigger deal than you might think if you’re lucky enough not to have strays!

My make-up bag has gone from a giant bundle of frustration to a chic collection of tools that give me the confidence not to give make-up a 2nd thought once its done – I’m done!

My best friend is called Ann. We have been through so much together. I lost my husband when I was young and had to bring up three children on my own. I eventually got remarried and that was fairly traumatic with three truculent stepdaughters. Then she had to nurse her husband through cancer and sadly he died. Now my husband has been diagnosed with cancer. Through all this Ann has been a brilliant friend. We giggle a lot together and our mantra is that we are “young! vibrant and drop dead gorgeous” and make-up is an invaluable part of our lives because no matter what happen we still manage to put on a “face” and face the world no matter what.

It was the white faux ostrich case. My daughter is now nearly fifteen and loves make up. All that practise and she looks beautiful and it’s all down to ybf. Ellie would be so delighted to open this for Xmas. Thank you qvc for so many wonderful products

My friend Heather, has been going through tough times. However her spirit has never diminished. She is strong and believes in living for today and not dwelling on what has been. She will always be there for me. She is always glamorous but in an understated way. In my view she is the perfect BUT.

My best friend has lifted me from some very dark times in my life. She is an amazingly wonderful, positive woman who has truly turned my life around, even though I still have problems, I put on my ybf face and I get on with my day. My best friend has shown me how to cope better. She doesn’t realize how amazing she is and the support she has given I can never repay but I can share my ybf. To all women, empower yourselves, take one day at a time and there is light at the end of the tunnel.

I met my, best friend Jane 40 years ago and she is more of a sister than a friend. She has helped me through some horrendous times and is always there to give me support as I am with her. I have one son and wanted another baby in my early 20’s, however, it was not to be and I ended up having a full hysterectomy at 29 years of age. I through myself into my work but it was Jane that gave me the support I needed to get through this. I split up with my partner not long after this and again Jane was there for me as usual. She also introduced me to my Husband, who is Jane’s husband’s cousin and best friend. The four of us always holiday together and socialised a lot when we were younger. I lost my dad in 2007 then my niece of 18 years old, since then I have lost my mother-in-law, father-in-law and my mum followed by the death of my much loved brother-in-law last year who died of a massive heart attack aged just 46 years old. Then my niece aged 26 in January of this year. After the death of my father our family split I went through a terrible time with both my sisters, to such an extent that my brother and I don’t communicate with them any longer. This was a very hard period in my life and I wouldn’t have got through it without the support and love of Jane. Now it is time for me to give her the support that she needs while her husband goes through treatment for Cancer of the Prostrate. She is the most genuine person that you could ever meet and, even though she has suffered from 2 strokes is always there for us and her large family of 5 daughters and one son and all of there children. She is an inspiration to everyone and takes everything in her stride. To sum it up Jane has a heart of gold and I would love to win this prize for her as she goes through the hardest time of her life supporting her husband.

My Best Friend inspires me because she keeps it together no matter what! She is strong, independent and is a beautician herself so she knows how to stay beautiful through it all. She has had a tough year attempting to become a foster parent and it dragging on for a year to then be told no. Instead of crying and getting down she makes dinner for her family and with a smile on her face and a great sense of humour moves forward with new ways to make the new year great even without a new addition to the family. She is always there for me no matter what. If I keep going I will be here forever. She is my inspiration for simply her courage, determination and her impeccable sense of style. I love her and she loves YBF, this would make her Christmas.

    Hi Stacey
I met my best friend after going through a traumatic break up with my partner of twenty years. I was determined to show him that I could do the things we planned to do and then didn’t!
I joined a dance class doing latin and ballroom, no partner but hey-ho see what happens. My friend was on her own too and as I was game for dancing the male part so we danced together. While getting to know her better we realisised how identical our lives had been from the number and gender of children to ex partners and tragedies that happened to us along the way. We therefore gelled straight away and have been best friends ever since – that was ten years ago. We share all our ups and downs and help and support each other. I introduced her to Staceys’ ybf make up and we love it. We have also introduced it to our daughters and they love it too! If we won the prize it would have to be shared between all of us or the third world war would break out in our part of Lincolnshire!!

She is great company and we love to get ourselves ‘done up’ and head out for some fun together. Winning this would enable me to give something to her for a change and show just a bit of appreciation for all that she does.

We don’t get to see each other that often, due to living several hundred miles apart, but when we do meet up, we have a great time – and we even let her hubby join in! :-)

My Mum is my best friend as she is so supportive to me I have a medical condition that has completely altered my way of living, I now use a walking stick and have been unable to work since March of this year, my company have also been supportive.
My Mum is always there for me through the laughter and tears.
When the walking stick was required my Mum bought me a really trendy one as she knows that I love fashion and didn’t want me to feel conscious when using it.
We were lucky to attend the Beauty Bash in January 2014 and everybody thought we were sisters as my Mum looks so youthful.
In June I fell down the stairs and cut my head and forehead open and was sporting black eyes, I rang Stacey and ordered the YBF Neutralising cream to cover the bruising,
Again My Mum was there for me, encouraging me to go out the next day, to ensure that I didn’t loose my confidence.
My Mum is such a strong, caring lady as not only does she support me but also my Dad, as he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease early this year.
Throughout all of this my Mum remains positive, she truly is an inspirational lady and if I look half as good as my Mum when I reach 65 I will be more then happy.
Mum is one in a million and I love being her daughter.
If I was fortunate to win the hamper, I would be sharing all the goodie’s with my MUM.
If I don’t win,I hope to see Stacey at the Beauty Bash in January 2015.
A mantra that My Mum and I share is, no matter how bad things get, put your lipstick on and smile.

I used to pester my mum with questions about my other mother, she always answered me with total honesty, how do I know, I asked my other mother the same questions and they confirmed what my mother said to me, sadly she passed away in 2005, one month afterr my 50 birthday, I still miss her greatly, but if you had a mother like mine, yvf wouldn’t stand a chance against my mum, she helped me to become the person I am today, which is kind, honest, caring, generous, selflessness, all the qualities to be a beautiful person, as it is said “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”, love you mum my best friend.

I have 2 best friends; my 80 year young Mum (just) and my Cousin who at 45 is 9 years younger than me. We are the dream team, working together to add value to each others’ lives at every turn, whether we face challenge or success. I used to sit with my Cuz when she was young and she loved me applying makeup to her face. Now she sits with me through the night and listens to my fears, applying logical solutions. As I am an active advocate of YBF with a lot of stock, I would give them each a make-up set to say thank you. Why else would I do this? Mum who is on a small pension, spends her money buying the family, the local kids, her postie and bin-men little gifts all year round, whilst she has spent much of her time caring for every member of the family for what seems like her whole life. She’s a rare diamond! My Cuz is a generous but time-poor Mum with 3 boys under 15 and a hectic job as a Restaurant Manager. Neither has much time nor money to nurture themselves or go shopping for such extravagant items. I usually break up my collections and share pieces with them, so we all get something out of the generosity of Stacey and QVC. Mum and my Cuz mean the world to me and I’d love to show them and see their smiles, with a hamper of goodies each. They’re worth it! :) xxx

when it comes down to beat friends everyone says you can have many, i believe you can only have that one special person that can be there in any way in which you need. This is why my best friend is my mum, someone so inspiring and a very special lady not only to me but to everyone who knows her. From such a young age i used to steal her models prefer make-up and now together we have grown up with both only using Ybf. She has helped me recently through a lot with my brain infection and still beings a smile to my face in these hard times i’m having as her only child and also the tough times she has gone through by loosing her best friend her mum and my grandma who I original used to go to. so not only is she my best friend for everything that has happened but she is also the reason hat Ybf is a massive art of my make-up life which covers my imperfections which my mum only sees as perfections. this is why this would be such a special thing for my mum, and especially my best friend.

It will be 50 years next July since I met my best friend. She has always been the bubbly one & I more serious so a perfect partnership. She is the one who always takes time to ‘phone daily to give support thro’ times of stress, always has jokes or cute ‘photos to send as well as cards in happy & sad times. In other words she is always thinking about other people and goes the extra mile. I know you could receive the same message about her from numerous other people, but I like to think I’m ‘ her favourite ‘ . She is mine .

I met my best friend over 30 years ago while working in London. Throughout our lives we have helped each other through marriage, divorce, health issues and losing close family and partners. Although we now live many miles apart we still converse on the phone regularly and talk everything through with each other as we are now both single. We have always loved fashion and makeup and have gone through all the trends together, some good some bad! It would be great to get together again and have some great “girly time” with all your great products.

I have known my best friend since we were 4years old, over 50 years now. Our lives have taken us down very different roads but we have always stayed connected. My BF has had a traumatic life, never having to look for worries and problems – they have always found her. Severely traumatised as a child, enduring ongoing heartache as a parent, ever mounting personal health problems to say the least. She ALWAYS has given freely and fully of herself to anyone in need regardless of the “cost” to herself, she never gives up, she is a champion of causes, an unsung hero. She is my “go to gal” 24/7, supporting me, helping me navigate the challenges I have had in life as I try to do for her as best I can. It would be so nice to say here is a surprise for you, all for you, for being wonderful loving and selflessly generous you.

My best friend inspires me because she made me realise that I can be amazing, we can all be amazing! We both work in dementia care, now in different NHS Trusts, as nurses and she showed me how wonderful this can be. We’ve been friends since we started working together in the later 1990’s. We’re often asked how we can work in such a ‘sad’ area of nursing, but we both agree that it can be magical, you can make the life of someone with dementia incredible, special and meaningful. As friends we have always been there for each other and we have huge amounts of fun. Thanks Lynda, I love you! x

Like many others I have many health issues. Over the past 2 years they has caused me to lose jobs & nearly lose my house. Friends weren’t able to cope with the changes in me, plus not working meant I wasn’t able to socialise at all. It was then that I truly realised that my little mum is my best friend. Without her I would not be here, seriously, I reached a point of wanting to give up full stop. She’s 68 yet took on all my bills & troubles and moved me back home to recover. She’s always been a fab mum but now she’s my bestie too. She gives me the hope and drive to get out of bed every day! As cheesy as it sounds she is my rock.

My older sister is my best friend. I found her ten years ago, I, had been adopted outside of the family. My sister has altzimers and has been in a care home since May. She has always been a classy lady but this disease has robbed her of much of her dignity. However we still make sure she is dressed to look her best with her hair and make up done each morning. This is a special time for her daughters and myself as we take turns daily. Both she and ourselves take pleasure from this. A treat from YBF would be wonderful and so special.

I am amazed with Y.B.F . I am now a fully functioning pensioner. Two Years ago at QVC beauty bash I met Stacey- I explained I was very susceptible to reactions of make up but she gave me a facial makeoverxx and after all my life not being ale to wear any cosmetics -I had no reaction .What a difference it has made to me. I have tried multiple other products which are ” hyperallergenic” every one said they would not react with my skin But this is the only one where I have had no reaction. So thank Stacey and team.xx

My big sis, best friend from birth… She tells me how it is, makes me feel great about myself or tells me when I need to wise up! We get ridiculous giggles And other people think we’ve lost it!! She helped me believe I could do everything I’ve achieved in life, always believing in me without question. No wonder I spent the past 30 years aspiring to be just like her.

Well what can I say about my best friend ?

In good times and bad we belong to each other
Over the years we have had ups and downs
We embrace life and all it gives we or throws at us
We share tips and tricks to keep us sassy and young at heart

We model ourselves on our beautiful mothers
    Who are now in heaven
They were two modern classy ladies who made the most
    Of their life
We try to aspire to their philosophy on life

Which is live each day, enjoy what life brings your way and
Be kind to friends you meet.

Sheila my friend is kind and smily she makes me happy
And always cheers me up when I am down
I have just got over womb cancer
She has been and still is my rock

    We compliment each other perfectly
And enjoy life to the full
And make each day a memory to share in our later years
    Like our mums
Who were 80 and 98 when they died

Life is for living and we make the most of every opportunity
    To share it together

well best friends are there to tell you the truth and be honest to help you achieve your BEST ….my best mate did just that. She had the courage to tell me my eyebrows were too bushy, shapeless and ageing!! A brave lass…. Well I listened to her good advice and I know she loves me so got the ybf automatic eye pencil duo and of course I shared this and gave one to her …a good gesture which she so deserved! My eyebrows now look fab-u-lous and everyone says I do look younger!! Wow oh wow…lucky me!! My best mate Liz allowed me to be an even fiercer and even more gorgeous woman!! Thank you Liz and thank you ybf. Happy holidays!!

My best friend and I are both ladies of a certain age – 73 if you must know – but we both are full of life. Irene suffers from emphysema and brittle bones, she has to use a buggy and her body is held together with various bits of metal, she causes airport scanners to go into meltdown. Despite her problems she always has time for others and has been a great help to me at the time of family problems. Her problems make my arthritic twinges pale into insignificance.
Make up is a wonderful morale booster for both of us. I lost most of my eyebrows because of hypothyroidism but Tracey’s wonderful eyebrow pencil deals with that and I go into a minor panic if I can’t find my yelliow cream, it covers a multitude of sins.

My Daughter is my best friend. She was born with a heart condition and had her first heart surgery on her 15th Birthday followed by another 9 hour open heart surgery 9 months later and another three weeks later. She was back at school 3 weeks after this and has gone on to train as a beauty therapist, to drive and to open her own business. She is the hardest working girl I know dispite her health issues and never lets a client down. She constantly trains with new products and techniques and in 2015 her intention is to give back to the people who look after her by going onto the ward and pampering the nurses and mothers of other long term patients on the ward who look after her. She has spent too much of her short life in hospital yet never says why me. I think she deserves a lovely treat :). She is amazing and i adore her. So glad to be chosen to be her Mum x

My best friend is like a sister to me! We never thought she could have children and she always ran around after my son and her own two sisters children doing anything she could for all of us and then fantastically she fell pregnant in 2009 and after a very traumatic birth she had an emergency c-section in December 2010 to a beautiful baby boy! All 9lb 13oz of him! And she is under 5ft herself so you can imagine how big she was and how hard the pregnancy was for her! But still even after the magic of her own son being born she continued to run round after all the children!!! Then sadly I fell very ill with blood clots on my lungs which was found on my birthday in Jan 2012! She rallied round as usual putting herself last! Ever since then my health has deteriorated sadly but there she is all the time with a helping hand wether that is cleaning my house which I can’t do anymore as I am now housebound to even washing me if I can’t myself and constant visits to see me when I’m taken in to hospital! She also now has taken on her own niece and is her special guardian so if anybody deserves a real treat for themselves I believe she does! I call her my personal angel and she is a star to everyone always putting herself last so much so that she often forgets herself so it would be so lovely for her to be reminded she matters too! I love her u continually and I wish EVERYONE knew what a special person she is!!! Thank you YBF for such a lovely completion for us to tell everyone how special our friends are! And thankyou to QVC too. Love Kelly xxxxxx

In 2011 three months after my beautiful Mum passed away from secondary breast cancer i was diagnosed with breast cancer too. She was with me through my treatment, my symptoms and my surgery. She takes me out in my wheelchair to places that would be unacessible to me without her taking me to. I really do not know how I would have coped without her. We now both miss our weekly Saturday’s out shopping and stopping off for a coffee and cake, which we loved to do until both of our Mother’s deaths and finally our own ill health. We get together when we can and love nothing better than a chat and catch up and however down we may feel before our meeting we are soon laughing again. We seem to know instinctively when the other needs cheering up and certainly by winning this prize we can both have cause to be cheerful and look fabulous too!

Well I have another best friend now, two in fact and they are more than worthy of that title!

Without sounding corny my BFF has to be my husband for many reasons…. Firstly he arranged a surprise wedding which as a surprise I’ve never and never will be able to top. We went away for the weekend and he had arranged for all my family and my dress and all the things I had been nagging him i wanted to be there on the day and a honeymoon to boot. Another reason is because he is the father to my beautiful three daughters and never objects (too loudly!) When I purchase time and time again for them from QVC ( I think we have more easy pays coming out of out bank than DD’s lol) and the last few years have been so tough our son passed away and ive been very ill and he never ceases to amaze me he works so hard (cos I cant) he puts me first in all he does and every nIghtfield when he’s led beside me (as he is now…) snoring instead of digging him in the rins I smile and thank my lucky stars I got sent him not only to be my husband the father to my kids but my one time Best Friend….. that’s why he inspires me…….

My best friend inspires me because this year she found out she had alopecia and lost all her hair including her eyelashes and eyebrows. She had to endure comments from a male member of staff at her work which really upset her. She never complains about it and in my eyes she is and always will be beautiful.

My best friend is sadly no longer with me – he died 20 years ago. He was an inspiration to me – he was born in the 1920’s and was 18 years old when he was sent to fight for GB In the second world war – he was hit by a missile being discharged from what was called a “Tiger Tank” and had his clothes blown off and a massive injury to his lower right leg – luckily? because of the temperature being very low the blood congealed and the German soldiers took him as a prisoner of war – he very sadly lost his lower right leg and was a POW for nearly four years. All that said he survived the war and went on to learn to walk with an artificial leg and meeting and marrying a lady he loved and had three children – he worked and had a full career and I never heard him moan – a true inspiration – the man was my father and the woman he loved ,my mother. He taught me I should never give up but find a way to succeed(because there is always a way) – I miss him everyday of my life but I am so grateful for his guidance – his motto – onwards and upwards xx

I have almost finished my training and she tells me every day how proud she is. I could not have managed one year at university, never mind four years, without her. Thanks.

But, I think she deserves it because recently I had my first major meltdown and, despite the fact that she has only known me for 2 months – she had my back and was there for me all the way! They often ring me for advice or send me random texts. I just love that! More than anything with these two girls, I’m so immensely proud of what they have achieved. I love my best friend to bits, we’ve been best friends for about 15 years now and bless her she has been through the mill.

A few years ago my friend lost her first baby when he was 5months old, and the worse thing is that her fiancee at the time was responsible, he has now been sentenced for manslaughter. The most inspiring thing is that my friend and her sister in law have set up a charity called Charlees Angels (that was her sons name) which raises money and awareness for SBS (Shaking Baby Syndrome) We set up fundraisers and do what we can, we even have support from local papers and radio stations.

She is definitely an inspiration the trial went on for a while, and she didn’t get to have the funeral for her son until a couple of years after what had happened. She is a brave woman, and i’m sure she would appreciate a lovely pamper pack like this, its just what she needs. xxxx

Ann would need to bring her eyeliner and mascara as she is a real makeup junkie and she couldn’t be without her two must have ybf products.
    We are undeniably BFF.

My Mum was diagnosed with terminal cancer at the end of July and died two weeks ago. I nursed her at home so she could die in the comfort of our home. Its been a tough journey and I have been very strong though out it. But I had my best friend Denise who was there to take me out on some Saturday evenings, just to have that bit of normality. I cried on her shoulder many a time, in the middle of a crowded bar, but she would never be embarrassed and was there to give me a hug. xx

In the last3 years i have had a heart attack which i wouldent have known had it not been for my youngest sis who called for help, we then lost our wonderfull mother to cancer who we all miss dreadfully, i then had lung cancer 12 months later i was very lucky that it was detected very early so having my lower lung removed am cancer free fingers crossed. All my sisters supported me during this time and helped look after my husband as he has health issues due to having a brain hemorage and stroke 6years ago, I then had a breakdown, again my lovely sisters helped me through and im on the mend. I consider myself to be very blessed at having such a wonderful supporting family

Having taken 5 years out of work to look after my son she inspired me last December to spend 2014 looking for a new job, I applied for many and had a few interviews she coached me thru them and I landed my dream job in April.

She really inspires me as she shows that you can still get on with life despite what life throws at you.

I love my best friend Elaine to bits. We’ve known each other 25 years and a lot of water has flowed under the bridge in this time. We’ve laughed, cried and shared life together. For a few years we didn’t see each other, not because we had fallen out, but because our lives took different paths. We’ve come together again and I can’t imagine life without her. She has this knack of lighting up a room, of brightening my day, of making life fun. And I love her to bits. I’d love to win this prize for both of us because I can just imagine the fun we will have on a girls night in.

My BF sat me down a few months ago and very kindly told me that I’d let myself go. She’s not a mean person at all – and I appreciate fully that it was a hard thing to say, but she said it because, well, it needed to be said. She encouraged me to go on a diet by promising me a mini-break if I lost weight – and I did! I lost 4.5 stone over the summer – which needed to be lost frankly, and if it wasn’t for her, then I wouldn’t have become this fabYouLESS woman that I am today! We’re going away next Sunday because she’s as good as her word – we’re heading to London for a theatre break to celebrate the new me.

After her daughter was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour in April, a then almost stranger to me, Bev, asked me (through a friend) to accompany her to America for three months to help care for her child while she recieved proton beam therapy.

During this time she became my best friend, one of the most brave, courageous and ‘kept together’ women I’ve ever met. She helped me over come depression when she was almost at breaking point herself. She made me a stronger more confident person, and inspired me to cut a lot of negativity out of my life.
Spending the summer in Children’s hospitals; we lived on the mantra life is too short!! She has helped me to become a better person and is truly fabulous!
I would love to win this and share it with her, we both have Birthdays in Dec and Jan, it would be a lovely pampering treat!

She gave up her job to be a full time carer for her Mum who has dementia. She’s organised so many events to raise money for charity that it was almost a full time job too! She has backpacked almost the entire circumference of Australia.

On returning, she adopted two dogs with behavioural problems. With kindness she turned their lives around and they are now happy, confident little personalities.

Desiring to be self-sufficient, she started her own business.

It hasn’t all been plain sailing, but she has faced every obstacle with perseverance and good humour.

Thanks to her endeavours, her business has gained an excellent reputation for friendly service and quality produce.

A true Cinderella tale … and this prize would be a great way to recognise and reward her achievements.

I had a best friend who for 43 years supported me and encouraged me in everything I did. She was prouder of my achievements than I was, and never missed an opportunity to tell everyone (to my frequent embarrassment!) how wonderful I was. If I were to tell you all the amazing and special things she has done for me, we would be here all year. She gave me money she needed herself on more than one occasion. She once spent much of a channel crossing informing a random stranger how clever I was. She bought a car and chauffeured me around northern Spain because I had a field trip to do there and couldn’t pass my test. We argued fiercely sometimes, which scared hubby, who would find an excuse to have to go somewhere, anywhere, as long as it was well away from us, but we always made up as fast as we fell out. She always told me I could be anything I wanted, and she would love me no matter what I did, or where I went, and even when we lived in different places, we would spend hours on the phone talking about everything and nothing. She was the first person I turned to when I was happy, and the only one I could turn to when I was sad. She died in December 2003, and there isn’t a moment I don’t miss my very best friend, my mum.

My best friend is Debbie and we met through work and within a few minutes we both knew we would be best friends for ever. I see no faults or flaws or annoying habits, I only hear laughter and kind words and feel warm hugs every time we meet.

My best friend bagan as my sister-in-law over 30 years ago. We now refer to ourselves as sisters. She is the strongest person I know. Diagnosed with breast cancer 3 years ago she fought and got the all clear only to find last christmas she had cancer of the liver. In may this year we celebrated her 50 th birthday with a Hawaiian style party. In October she was diagnosed with two brain tumors. Her home is decorated to the nines with festive ornaments and is full to brimming with Christmas cheer!!!!! We love your ybf eyebrow pencil Stacey I had started to be a little too bold with it but my good sister Debbie did put me right by telling me my eyebrows we starting to get a little scary! We also love your yellow Concealer cream. We will always be bf’s and will always love ybfxxx

I have two wonderful BFF’s. I’ve known them one for 33 years and the other for 30. Each one has been such a positive influence in my life. Both gifts should go to them.

I met my best friend in therapy and she inspires me everyday to keep fighting and moving forward. She is an inspiration – always putting others before herself and has even trained to be a Peer Support specialist. No matter what live throws at you she always has a friendly ear and the words to get the fire burning in your stomach to keep achieving.

My husband is my best friend. He makes me feel fabulous even when I know I am not at my best. He doesn’t mind the lumps and bumps and he never dulls my confidence. Whether I’m dolled up to the nines or makeup free he compliments me and makes me feel beautiful. We are best friends, we may be married but it’s more than that, we are honest with one another and share the good and the bad and make one another feel loved and be the very best we can.

My best friend is my daughter, We have a special bond, I never had with my own mother. We tell each other everything from those cringing moments when she was a teenager to those special moments now she’s a wife. This year she married her childhood boyfriend and on her wedding day she asked me to do her wedding make up, honoured was an under statement once the pride had set in, I panicked, what if I make her look like a clown, But then I calmed down and remembered the reason she asked me was because I’ve learnt all the tricks of the trade from the beauty experts on QVC and on the day she looked amazing, people couldn’t believe it hadn’t been done by a professional make up artist. Those are the moments that are surreal but has a mother you live for.

my best friend sonya who is 51 years young. after travelling through a few marriages/divorces and children between us and good plus yes a lot off bad as happens unfortunately on lifes journey. she don’t harp on about the bad and is so grateful for the good. selfless and frequently gives quietly to people who are in need but does this quietly as its done cos she cares. im inspired by her beautiful spirit plus her ability to keep positive. also love that she still had the sense off humor and ability to laugh like we did at 13 teen. i’m already a winner as every one is who is lucky to have a true life long friend

My best friend Lily inspires me to be fabulous every day. She is always there for me and always gives me a genuine honest opinion on everything which I love. It makes her the perfect shopping partner (especially since I am super indecisive). Her attitude makes me feel more confident in myself and secure in who I am. I love my bestie! x

My best friend Liz has always been the tough cookie in our relationship. She is there at the drop of a hat whenever I need her, and she has given me the confidence over the years to stand up for and believe in myself. Everyone says how much we compliment each other. I bring out her softer side and she brings out my assertiveness when needed. She is fun and fabulous and helps me feel the same.

God sent me to the arms of an angel. An angel whose arms are always open when I need a hug, whose heart always understands when I need a friend. An angel whose eyes are stern when I need a lesson, whose strength and love guides me and give me wings that enables me to fly. I am most fortunate to call this angel my mother.

I would share this with my mum and sister who i love both so much. My mum doesnt have chance to care for herself as much as she does for others. Because she always helps other people including looking after her mum constantly. If i won this. Then i would make sure all 3 of us had 1 night together and have a pampering night. And give my mum the break she much needs xx

My amazing friend samantha Hadadi has been the most amazing friend these last 2 years. I have got chronic pain and have to take a lot of medication everyday. She helps me to live a life the best I can and is always there for me. I have lost touch with many friends since being home bound but she inspires me everyday to be upbeat and positive especially since she and her husband split 2 days before she gave birth to her son Leo in March this year. She’s still working hard and is pursuing her career as a nutritionist and has written her first ebook. She’s simply a magnificent lady

I love it that my best friend take turns to visit each other once a week for coffee. Its great that we are so comfortable with each other that we dont feel the need to make ourselves up on a regular basis.Although I do cheat with Staceys yellow powder which evens out my skintone and hides the redness. When we go out for coffee thats when YBF comes into play, I love it….and I love QVC.

My Mum is my best friend. She gas been with me through every step of my cancer journey. She was there every time I woke from surgery, she nursed me afterwards each time. She sat with me through every one of my chemotherapy sessions, and sat on the floor by my bed all night afterwards when I was so sick…. she learnt to give me daily injections… she helped me to learn to walk again after surgery…. she gave me the courage and confidence to keep fighting…. and did all this at over 80 years of age! An amazing woman and an inspiration, I could not have coped without her.

I actually don’t have a best friend in the sense of another woman who visits etc. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2003 and have steadily deteriorated and now am housebound and spend all my days in my bedroom! My best friend is my Husband who has become my carer and does most things for me. Even though he is also disabled he does all the cooking now (he never did any when I was well) and carries it upstairs to me everyday. Without his love and support I would be lost. We have dealt with and are dealing with a lot but it has just made our bond even stronger.
