Will: Today’s Food Event and some festive cooking tips…

Will Hello everyone!

So today is all about food, well every day is about food in my world, but on QVC it's all things kitchen through until midnight.

There are some brand new things coming up, including Pig in a Poke wines; I love their philosophy, no fuss, just three choices: white, red and rose! They pride themselves on ease of drinking, no need to mull over the labels in the the supermaket (which are never that helpful anyway) just pour and enjoy.

If it's an edible gift you're looking out for then watch Choc on Choc. This is a father and daughter company based in Somerset, the chocolates are really nicely presented and they're handmade!

The story of how it all started is really interesting, but I'll let them explain it to you later! Here's our tv guide if you want a quick peek at the day.

I know lots of you love the various food ranges on QVC, but if you haven't taken the plunge yet or are wondering whether buying food on the telly is a good idea, find out what Carole had to say about Simple Simon's Perfect Pies below…

Are you already thinking about Christmas dinner? If you are then Today's Special Value has an amazing selection of meats that will see you through the whole Christmas period, if you manage to use it all in one day I'll be amazed, I want picture evidence!

I had the pressure of cooking up a festive feast last year and to be honest I really enjoyed it, although my mum had to rescue my watery gravy! Anyway putting my poor gravy-making skills aside, I thought our kitchen expert Simon Brown would be the right person to chat to for tips on making that perfect roast potato…

Did you sit down to a Sunday roast yesterday? We're asking for your favourite part of a Sunday roast or Christmas dinner, mine would have to be stuffing, love it! Let me know your suggestions on our Facebook page or by commenting below.

If you're a Diamonique fan, I've got some exciting news to tell you in The Morning Show tomorrow, fear not if you're doing the school run or are busy with other things as I'll tell you all about it in my blog tomorrow too.

Have a great day,

Will x

    Hi Linda,
Thanks so much for stopping by! I could talk about Sunday lunch for hours, I love roast pork, roast parsnips, roast carrots, roast potatoes… I could go on ;o)
Someone sent me a picture the other day of the biggest Yorkshire pudding, they filled it with an entire roast dinner and a good healthy splash of gravy, you can’t beat it.

Will, great to see you this morning. I will certainly be enjoying the morning show even more now. My favourite part of Sunday roasts are the veggies. Oh!!! roast parsnips and roast tatties. My husband always attempts the Yorkshires but not always successful. He tends to do the cooking for the big meals. Stuffing at Christmas only and love cranberry jelly with my turkey.
