Why I love the Kipling Today’s Special Value

Hi everyone,

I hope you are enjoying your Easter break. We've had traditional bank holiday weekend weather but despite that have still managed to have a great weekend including attending a friend's barbeque party which the weather held out for!

I am utterly thrilled to be presenting our Kipling Today's Special Value. The colours are simply mouthwatering and I am really enjoying gorgeous bold colours to brighten up my spring so may just have to treat myself….one can never have too many bags, surely?

Many Kipling fans adore the leather range of Kipling, myself included. I own a stunning brown leather Kipling and it is just so supremely soft and screams quality. Our TSV is the first ever leather Kipling offered as a Today's Special Value! Now for the value bit…there is a saving of £51.64 when compared to buying directly from Kipling!! Woweeeee..how can we bag fans refuse?

I asked Steve "Do I really need another bag?". His reply "You need another room! To put all your bags in!". I'm sure I could find room for this one. It's beautiful!

My hardest decision is the colour to go for..what do you think? Which would you choose?

Love Catherine x

Hi Catherine – glad you had a nice Easter and managed a BBQ too!! Nothing so exciting here we were dodging the showers and I’ve eaten far,far too much chocolate ……. oops
You have really whetted my appetite with the Kipling TSV – can’t wait to see it. I adore Kipling bags and I only have 2 and a Kipling purse so far anyway but that can easily be rectified!!
Looking forward to seeing tou with the TSV

    Hi Catherine
Happy Founders Day and what a great TSV , such a beautiful kipling bag . Watching as I write this and I love that white snake print too, will have to add that to my collection, probably the Corrine, that looks a very useful bag
Thank you for saying `Hi ` to Bobbie May , she will be thrilled , you are her favourite presenter as you know. Her Kipling collection has grown to 14 and she has her eye on a red one for her birthday next month— not bad for someone who is nearly 4 . She loves the Kipling shows , lucky she can watch today as on school holidays–
    Have a great day,

    Hi Catherine,
Just been watching you launch the Kipling TSV and will be glued to QVC all day as I’m a bit of a Kipling addict.
I am glad you had a good Easter. It could hardly have been worse for us because our beautiful Maine Coon boy, Chester, passed away suddenly on Good Friday. He was 14 years old and we have had him since he was a tiny kitten so we are missing him terribly. I wanted to let you know as I have mentioned him to you a couple of times since you got your Maine Coon.
I hope everything is okay with your feline family (and human family too of course)… you haven’t done a cat-related blog page for a little while and we would all like an update on Dinky’s progress (hint…). Please give Babybelle a huggle for me as I miss my Chester.
    Take care,
    Nade xxx

    Hi Catherine
Love to watch you, you are are always really cheerful and bubbly can you tell me what the kipling bag was you were showing on the midnight show last night it was your own and you were saying how much you could fit in it. It hasn’t been on air today.

    Dearest Nade,
I am so sorry to hear about your darling Chester. I can imagine how desperately heartbroken you must be. I really am sending you lots of love.
I will get back on track with my blogs of the kitty cats. Dinky is doing well now but we are still going back for checks as he has an odd complication that’s arisen ater the surgery..not life threatening or anything but it means his sight isn’t completely as we hoped yet.
I am sending huge hugs your way..much love, Catherine xxx

    Hi Jeanette,
Thanks for your lovely comments. I saw your query about the bag I showed and mentioned in yesterday’s 5pm show that the closest one we do it to now is the ‘Fairfax’. Apparently mine is one which has been retired now, I’m afraid, but the ‘Chilly’ is a very similar size and extremely useful, I find.
    I hope this helps.

    Hi Catherine
Nothing to do with your blog but was wondering did you go to Cardiff a few weeks ago to watch the Rugby,I think you said Steve was singing in the Choir? I heard you mention it to somebody on TV who lives not a million miles from me!
We’ve just come back from Steve’s part of the country-but we came back early-our luck never changes does it?still so much going on! but have to say the weather was good-well dry anyway, that’s probably our Summer!
Lexi is fine at the moment(fingers crossed)she seems to be doing well on her new food-although she wastes more than she eats! Hope Dinky is ok now.
    Take Care,speak soon

    Hi Catherine,
Oh dear I have to disagree, a leather Kipling bag is bad news for a Kipling mad vegetarian, especially one has bought every tsv ever shown until now!!
I managed to cheer myself up with the white snake Corinne though, gorgeous!
I love the hip ‘leather look’ range, the patent I adore and of course good old original Kipling!
What was the style of your own little cutesy Kipling bag Catherine, it was very sweet, what was it called?
    I now have 80+ bags, one more won’t hurt…….?

    Hi Catherine,
The music & dance have taken a bit of a back seat at the moment as my mother has not been well & now my sister has injured her leg (may have torn the tendon in her knee?). Been dong some gardening & spring cleaning in the house though. Sorry to hear about your bad news & hope you are getting through it ok. Glad the cats are dong alright & i will be sending you a little poem as i had done one for claire a short while ago. Saw you presenting Northern nights the other evening & thought you looked very glamorous & elegant in your outfit including the accessories & shoes.
Best wisjes to you & family, take care

    Hi Catherine
you lucky lady — just watching you with The Priests — what an inspiring and thrilling trio they are,and what a real pleasure to see them on QVC —thanks to all involved in getting them along
I already own their 2 cd`s so didn`t buy this time , but I`m sure there won`t be anyone taking advantage of the 30 day money back guarantee with this item!

    Hi Michael,
Thanks for writing in..I’m afraid those ‘leather’ trousers have now gone to a better place! They didn’t last long as they weren’t real leather. I loved them though and wish I could find another pair with the same shape to them.
The shop I bought them from has since shut down so I guess I’ll just have to keep an eye out for some new ones.
    All the best,
    Catherine x

    Hi Julie,
Good to hear from you again! Yes we did go to the Millennium Stadium and Steve sang. We were so proud. They are called ‘Eschoir’ so look out for them!
Nice to hear Lexi is doing ok at the moment but sorry you’re trip was cut short.
I hope you’ve had some of the sunshine we’ve been enjoying here in the South.
    Much love,
    Catherine xx
PS…Dinky update to follow soon. Off to the specialist again tomorrow for another check :-)

    Hi HarleyHoney,
Great to hear from you..sorry it’s taken me so long to catch up!
I understand…re the leather. So glad we have other options available though. I also really adore the patent finish bags..especially the bright pink and pistaschio shades. Yummy!
The little bag I have is one we no longer do at qvc but the closest to it is a fairfax, which is just a few inches bigger. Sorry I can’t be more help…I bought it ages ago. I also love using the ‘chilly’ shape. Pockets for everything.
I did manage to resist this TSV this time but don’t know if I’ll be as strong next time :-)
    Lots of love,
    Catherine x

    Hi David,
I am sorry to hear your mum and sister have not been well. I do hope they are getting better now. I’m sure you’re giving them both lots of support. You are a kind and sensitive person and I’m sure that helps them.
Thanks for your kind words, too. It’s very thoughtful of you.
I hope things improve for you all very soon and you can focus a bit on your music and dance again.
    With love,

    Hello Angela,
Always nice to hear from you. The Priests have been a real highlight of all my time at QVC. They were wonderful, funny, kind and sweet. I follow them on twitter as well. Easy to find of course ‘ThePriests’!
They really moved me with their music. I can’t wait for them to return..they’re hoping to be back in December. I hope so too!
