Where’s the summer gone?

4

Catherine and daughterIn fact, where has this year gone? That’s what I want to know! So much has happened and it seems to have all been at a 100 mph, full throttle speed.

Back to the issue of summer though. Is anyone else feeling a bit too chilly for this time of year? I’ve taken to snuggling up in my slanket more than once over the past few weeks. Luckily I didn’t put that in storage!

I’d like to apologise for being AWOL from my blog for a good few weeks. There’s just no let up in the world of house renovation, I’m afraid. I have only allowed myself the odd break for very special occasions such as Ali K’s beautiful wedding and a mummy daughter dinner to celebrate my girl’s 21st birthday. Two major milestones which nothing could have kept me from.

Cats' paw prints2Looks like the house will be ready to move into properly in the next few weeks. We have been living there in one little room with one flushing loo being the poshest mod con in the place. The cats aren’t phased by all the building work. As you can see here they’ve more than left their mark on everything from dusty paws on my iPad cover to permanent paw prints in wet cement!!

Catherine's new en-suite shower2Latest update on the house is there’s finally a part finished area! The en-suite shower is completed! Just the shower enclosure area, mind! Still a way to go but we are so close! That first shower is going to feel so good!

Well, I shall leave it short and sweet for now as I have a million things on my to do list. I hope you’re keeping well and not as chilly and disgruntled about the weather, hee hee!

Lots of love,

Catherine xx

Hi Catherine, I just wanted to say, your daughter is beautiful and looks so much like you, in fact you look more like sisters. Glad your renovations are going well.

    Dear Amanda, Jilly and Lin,

Thanks for writing in with your kind comments. Nice to hear from you and apologies for the massive delay in replying!

I hope you’re all enjoying a lovely summer. It’s whizzing by so fast now! That’s just made me realise I’ve not had one single BBQ this season, must be a record!

    Keep well & happy,

    Love Catherine xx
