Breast Cancer Care and what’s coming up…

Alison with Craig behind the scenes at Breast Cancer Care Morning all! Hope you had a lovely weekend and got to enjoy a little of the late autumn sunshine we were lucky enough to see yesterday. Thanks so much for all your mini travelogs about Barcelona – clearly there's a great deal more for me to see – I feel a second visit in the offing… well maybe next year anyway 🙂

Thanks too for all your kind words of appreciation re: Breast Cancer Care. None of us expected to raise quite such an incredible total and that's all down to you, but the atmosphere up in the call centre was amazing.

I do apologise for being quite so frantic and can assure you that with the exception of a few jelly beans, Craig and I hadn't ingested anything that could be construed as a stimulant! It's just that you get caught up in the excitement of it all, and I could have quite happily carried on until midnight 🙂

I'm at Mum's at the moment, but am using her computer because I wanted to give you a heads up on the new jewellery range from Diamonique that we'll be introducing at 3pm on Wednesday – Diamonique Day!!

I was wearing it last Wednesday night, and in fact my necklace was spotted by a viewer called Sara who very kindly donated a large sum of money for it! I can't say I blame her because we've actually designed a range of silver jewellery that combines our fabulous flawless Diamonique stones with creamy, classic cultured freshwater pearls.

It's not a new concept, and you may have seen several notable jewellery designers whose pearl and diamond pieces have drawn massive media attention – as have their massive prices! We've chosen large pearls in pink, white and black shades, and when you see them set with our perfect alternative to real diamonds, I know you're going to love them (you'll love the prices just as much)!

I was also wearing this band ring, and the earrings you see here are a complete contrast in style, but whether it's as a gift for Christmas, or just the jewellery for a blushing bride, then join me at 3pm on Wednesday, and I can show you the whole range… oh, and talking of blushing brides, I've got some news for you in my next blog! Have a wonderful week,

Love Ali xx

Hi Ali, sorry I missed replying to your last blog re: Barcelona. As I think I mentioned to you before, I have fond memories of Barcelona, especially sheltering in McDonalds from the heat only to finally emerge and get lost in the red light district. Happy days!! Glad you had a lovely time, aren’t you a lucky girl? Must comment on that beautiful cake you made, wow it looked so professional – bet it tasted good too.
I did see the Breast Cancer Care programme and, as usual, you looked divine. Your dress was beautiful and so feminine, but I think you always look nice.
Hi to your mum, hope she is much better now. How wonderful that she uses the computer; I have only just learnt how to use it in the past year.
Please don’t leave it too long for your next blog re: the blushing bride or you may be held responsible for many of your faithful bloggers suffering with high blood pressure due to the anticipation. I hope I’m right with my guessing!!
I hope you don’t mind me mentioning it, but I posted a comment on the previous phobia blog which wasn’t posted. I hope I didn’t write something I shouldn’t, or offended anyone. I would be very upset if I thought I offended anybody.
Take care and can’t wait for the next blog. Sent with love from Gail xx

Dear Gail, please don’t think for one moment that you have offended anyone or that your reponse was unpublishable! My editor who is one of – or probably the most – efficient people in the building, has checked and double checked, but your comment wasn’t receieved. So sorry, but I’m glad it hasn’t put you off writing! Clearly I missed the red light district altogether, although was intruiged by the Museum de L’erotica!! Thank you for your kind words re the cake, and I believe it did taste good, as Lucy and her girlfriends demolished it all at their night in!! Mum is doing sterlingly thank you, and is not only excellent on the computer now, but texts me daily too 🙂 As I promised Una I will let you know by tomorrow who the bride is, but possibly laying down in a darkened room will help with the blood pressure! 🙂 Have a good day, and Love to you from me, Ali x

Exciting isn’t it Susan!!! 🙂 I know I’m a tease, but it’s lovely to have a secret – even if only for another 24 hours! I will have photos I promise you, and should have all the info you need by tomorrow. Hoping you’re having a lovely week, and that even if there’s been some rain, you’ve enjoyed the fab sunshine we’ve had in London. Take care, love Ali xx

Dear Dorothy, Thank you!! Yes, it was a great night, and as promised previously, as soon as I have the final figure (end of the month I believe, once the on-line auction has finished) I will let you know. As I will let you know re my other news! Exciting times….. Yes, Sam is thoroughly enjoying Uni, and partying but studying too. “Didn’t feel too good this morning mum” he told me after a night out with his new mates, “but threw up, and then went on to my lecture…. that’s dedication!”….That’s my boy 🙂 Shocking eh?! Watch this space Dorothy and I promise I’ll have news for you by the weekend. Love Ali xx

Dear Ali, I am so relieved that the blog I THOUGHT I’D SENT didn’t contain anything that offended. As per usual I probably didn’t complete the blog properly (the sending part at the end)or pressed a wrong button and off it disappeared into space. The suspense is rather exciting, especially as we all know it is going to be some nice news. Glad the family are well and that Sam is enjoying Uni. Speak soon, Gail xxxxx (I’ll have to seriously concentrate when I send this or this too could end up floating somewhere out in space). I’m beginning to wonder if any of my e-mails ever arrive at their destination!!

    Hi Ali
Me again, sorry. You are going to be running every time you see my name!!! I HAD to tell you about my wee cat, my hero.
He doesnt go out very much, if he does its only in our garden and the hedge at the bottom of it. He had been out for about 20 minutes, and came running in, “shouting” which he tends to do!! (hes very vocal)”. He went out again, then did the same again, but obviously wanted me to follow him. Which I did. he kept running in front, then coming back to make sure I was there. He crawled into the hedge, with me behind him, and there was a poor little cat, that had been injured. It was in quite a bad way, but I managed to get it out, and into the house. Cleaned it up a bit, and got it to take some water. Then we wrapped it up and dashed up to the vet. He didnt really expect it to survive the night, but that was 2 days ago, and it had improved drastically today when I called. Hes not sure what happened to it (her), but he thinks possibly been hit by a car. He said that if we hadnt found her when we did, she wouldnt have survived the night outside. He was AMAZED, when we told him how we found her. Im so proud of our wee guy. Will keep you updated, just wanted to brag a little!!!
Hope you are having a nice weekend Ali. Looking forward to L,Occitane TSV.
    Love Una xx

Dear Ali, I feel you have gone off to get married somewhere. I can feel it in my water as my dear old mum use to say. Either that or I’ve caught an infection!!! I’m a romantic so it would be lovely if it were true. Either way get them fingers typing, and quick, as I can also feel that there are a lot of excited, anxious people out there wanting and waiting to know what is going on.
    Love Gail xxxxxxxxxx

Oh Gail, I fear it may be an infection!!! 🙂 I have written, infact HAD written on Friday, but due to a computer/broadband malfunction, wasn’t able to post. Monday is a hellish day for my editor, but I know she’ll do her best…. Bless you for your loyalty, and patience! Love Ali xx

Una, thank you so much for writing to me with that lovely story! Bless your little hero – what’s his name?? I love it when they start ‘talking’ in that really loud way, and you know something is up. Clearly he saved the other cat’s life! Will you be able to take another cat on, or is there any clue as to who the parents are – so to speak! Hope you enjoyed the L’occitane TSV. I missed it as poor Sam came home again with an impacted wisdom tooth and another sore throat… freshers flu and some! I’ve been buzzing around, taking him to the dentist, laying out his medi, and making Angel Delight… so good to have him home 🙂 Thanks for writing Una, and do keep me in touch with news of the kitty, love Ali xx
