What’s in my Bathroom?

Julia's en suite with TV to watch QVC!Hi there,

Just a quick catch up to let you know about the What's in my Bathroom? show I'll be hosting on Wednesday 25th March at 5pm.

About a year ago we redesigned our bedroom to create a lovely ensuite bathroom with a nice big shower and a bath that has a TV at the end so that I can always watch QVC!

L'Occitane soaps If you open any of the cupboards (and there are lots!) you'll fine loads of Decleor, Elemis, Liz Earle and Gale Hayman products. And there's always a bar of L'Occitane soap on the side of the bath and the wash basin. It leaves my skin really soft and smelling beautiful.

Julia's main bathroom with spa bath If I want to luxuriate and have a more relaxing bath I head to the family bathroom and the spa bath. I pamper myself with my Elemis Milk Bath while burning a fragrant Yankee Candle… absolute heaven!

So don't forget to join me at 5pm and discover more of my all-time bathroom favourites!

Until then,
Julia. xx.

Hi Julia, I would like to create something similar in my bathroom. Could you provide some more info on the TV? Is it a special TV for wet rooms or is it a regular one built into a waterproof housing? etc. Thanks, Jackie

Hi Jackie – it really is lovely to be able to watch a bit of telly in the bath. I have checked out the website where we got ours from but it’s not working, so not sure if they are still in business, but I’m sure there will be others on the internet. Ours is one specially for the bath – it has to conform to the current electrical regulations and be fitted by a qualified electrician. My top tip is to get one with integral speakers and of course a remote control. Good luck with it and let me know how you get on

    Hi Julia,
Our local football team is Middlesbrough with the one and only Gareth Southgate as manager, my son Jeff has been a season ticket holder since being 8 and is now 28 at the moment 29 in July he is doing a sponsered walk from Middlesbrough Riverside Staium to West Ham for the last game of the season they are doing it for 3 charities The Bobby Moore Charity, NSPCC, and the The Finlay Cooper Fund which is Colin Cooper who played for Middlesbrough his little boy died the other year, so looking at your son reminded me of when Jeff and all of us went to the football as a family, just hoping they manage the walk.

    Hello Hilary,
Just wanted to wish your son Jeff good luck for the ‘walk’ on the last day of the season, and also to say I hope you manage to avoid ‘the drop’. It has happened to Palace several times over the last few years and it is a horrible feeling! – so good luck to Gareth and his team

    Hi Julia,
Thanks for wishing Jeff good luck apart from the blisters they are doing really well with the walk the local radio and spoken to them live on the football show and are meeting them at the end of the walk. I think we will need a miracle to stay up but fingers and toes crossed we will get the right result, lets hope they do it for Jeff and his other two friends that have been walking with him they set off from middlesbrough riverside stadium in the pouring rain and thunder so there is dedication we met up with them mid week and they were really enthusiastic still can’t wait to see him tomorrow when they finish I am so proud of him as he has never walked that length before they had been practicing over the three peaks at Derbyshire so they said flat would be nothing as bad but that was one day a week not seven, but at least they are just about there now as they were leaving 1 or 2 miles to walk tomorrow.

Hello Hilary I’m so sorry Middlesborough couldn’t avoid the drop, but one consolation at least you’ll have a couple of dates with ‘The Palace’ next season!! I’m looking forward to catching up with Gareth Southgate assuming he’s still there. I hope Jeff’s feet have recovered now??
