It’s all about colour this Gem Day…

We invite you join us for a whole day dedicated to amazing gemstones and luxurious brands in gorgeous and sumptuous colours….

GemDayThe day will be full of amazing shows and guests, including Roz from South Sea Pearls, the amazing Donna Air, who will be guesting on the premiere show of her Little Bird Jewellery range, and much more!

We're also proud to announce that Gem Day will launch our brand new gemstone glossary (or Gemopedia, as we like to call it!) With a whole mine (ha!) of information, including fascinating facts, fantastical folklore as well as gifting information for birthdays and anniversaries, you can unearth gemstone secrets you never knew before.

We were lucky enough to catch up with some of the experts joining us for Gem Day, who each had something to say about their own particular favourites…

Luxury gemstone expert Laurie Wickwire, who has worked with diamonds for over 20 years, had this to say about this stunning tanzanite ring …

Tanzanite ring 681594"The captivating tanzanite colour is everywhere this season, seen in shoes, dresses, handbags and soft furnishings. This beautiful stone lends itself to so many styles, with this one design I always recognise as the UK's signature style – the classic cluster – one large centre stone framed in sparkling diamonds.

The variety presented during a QVC Premier Tanzanite show offers a larger selection of tanzanite jewellery than you will typically find in any one jewellery store. In particular, this ring is AAAA grade – top of the Tanzanite grading system, featuring a 1.3 carat solitaire tanzanite nestled in a halo of diamonds."

British jewellery designer Mairead Armstrong has picked this coloured diamond ring from Affinity Diamonds in red, as her pick of the day…

Red diamond ring - 619783"It's exciting to have the exquisite fancy coloured diamonds as part of the Affinity diamond range, with these superb designs displaying the rare and unusual colour hues and combinations. Given their rarity and breath-taking beauty, they make excellent investment pieces.

The amazing red diamond is new to the range, and incredibly rare and sought-after. It's colour is intense and caused by coloured graining and structural irregularities in the rock surrounding it."

Kunzite TSV

We also spoke to gemstone expert Mark Walker, who with 30 years of design, manufacturing and product development experience in the jewellery industry, chose this Gallilea kunzite ring – which is our Today's Special Value offer for Tuesday – as a firm favourite – the man has good taste!

"This is a lovely ring boasting a wonderful lilac kunzite stone with a magical hue. This gorgeous stone, discovered in 1902, is complemented in this ring by the rose gold ring shank and the halo of diamonds, creating a classic and timeless style. Love it!"

Join us on Tuesday 29th for a whole host of shows and surprises and to see these gorgeous gems in more detail. And don't forget to check out our Gemopedia to discover the hidden secrets of your favourite gemstones…

Where has all PERIDOT gone? I’ve been waiting for about 5 years since I lost my ring to replace it.Can it be simulated in your wonderful Diamonique range.I had a beautiful oval peridot in 9 carat gold and small peridots coming up the shank and swirling round the top and bottom of the main stoners it was gorgeous.
