Adam Reed and Paul PercivalWith the imminent launch of their new range on QVC, haircare experts Paul Percival and Adam Reed from 'Percy & Reed' took some time out to explain their products, divulge their celebrity clients and offer some top tips on the latest hair trends…

Tune in on Friday 21st October at 3pm to see the duo in action.

What makes your haircare stand out from the crowd?

Paul: There are three stand-out features of our products. The first is the ingredients and formulation. We spent two years formulating these products based on the products in our kitbags.

Percy & Reed 6 Piece Discovery CollectionWe have been lucky enough to travel worldwide with our work, and through this we have been able to try products from all over the world. We have used these benchmarks to create completely new products using the best ingredients available. We believe that the highest standard of ingredients give the highest standard of performance.

The second is the fragrance. We designed the scent ourselves and it is completely unique to our products. It's very reminiscent of the countryside and includes lots of scents that we had in our gardens as children.

Finally, the design. We have designed these products to look feminine, approachable and vintage. There is a very classic feel to our products, and the casual, fun tone of voice makes it easy to see exactly what effects you will get from the products.

What are your favourite products from the range and why?

Percy & Reed 3 Piece No Oil Volumising CollectionPaul: My favourite products are the No Oil Oil for Fine, and the Volumising Mousse. The oil is a complete innovation. It gives you a great base for volume, and a beautiful healthy shine. In addition, it's super absorbent and leaves no greasy, sticky residue on the hair and works as a treatment.

The mousse has a beautiful creamy texture. The great surprise is that is has a brilliant 'non-crispy' finish. These products work fantastically together to get that amazing hold and stunning shine!

Percy & Reed Hydrating MaskAdam: I love the TLC mask. It is great for all hair types, but particularly good for those with damaged hair. It's an intense moisturising treatment that really gives you a healthy, glossy finish, like you've just walked out of the salon. It also comes with a bonnet that is designed to increase the heat, opening the hair cuticles for better absorption of the product.

I also love the No Fuss Flawlessness Dry Conditioner. It's a great product to have in your handbag to freshen up your look! It adds great shine and movement, and protects you from harmful brushing. Perfect for that quick-fix!

What celebrities have you worked with? Who would you like to makeover?

Paul: We work with Noel Gallagher, Marina and the Diamonds, Will Young, The Hurts, Mel C, Diane Kruger, Ellie Goulding, The Sugababes etc… I would love to style Natalie Portman. She's absolutely beautiful, but has not changed her style much recently.

Adam: It would be great to do Anne Hathaway. Her hair is in great condition – it would be nice to freshen up her style slightly and give her a bit more of a modern edge.

What are the hair trends for the autumn/winter season?

Paul: This season there's a lot of focus on volume! It seems to be the bigger the better. We recommend you try and keep this trend modern by keeping a natural texture with loose styling.

The party season is approaching; do you have any tips for transforming a hairstyle from day to evening with little effort?

Paul: We think the Dry Conditioner is an amazing revitaliser and gives you a new lease of life. It makes your hair much more manageble. A great tool to have in your handbag are the Babyliss Pro mini-crimpers. Use them to crimp the roots on middle layer of hair to create instant volume, you can cover the crimped effect with the top layer of hair.
