Despite the rain and cold I watched my son play rugby in a tournament on Saturday – it was quite comical to see all the parents huddled in a tent munching on bacon butties and talking about the good old British weather!
On Monday I watched my daughter dance at a charming, bustling May Day Fair in Berkshire – many were dressed in attractive plastic rain smocks as they cheerily dipped their hands into their pockets as they supported all the worthy causes that had turned out, despite the rain!
At both events the Great British public did themselves proud – there was a wonderful turn out. At the fair there was ferret racing, May poles, Morris men and women, live music, a Pearly King, men on stilts, men on unicycles – I'd better stop there! But the rain didn't stop a thing.
Things weren't so gloomy at Q Towers on Sunday with a dazzling array of diamond-like sparkle for our Diamonique Day. I was delighted to both launch and finish the day with one of our newest presenters, Carmel Thomas – she quite coincidentally was celebrating 1 year with QVC, almost to the day!
I'm visiting our new headquarters in Chiswick this week – Charlie's already sent me a video of our new dressing room – yes we're sharing! More about that next week!
Join me at midnight on Thursday for Friday's new Diet Chef TSV – then at midnight on Friday for a FAB Notebook TSV from Hewlett Packard!
Till next time,
P.S. the picture of the moon was taken with the Canon SX40 TSV from last Saturday – handheld!
