Many of you are getting very excited about the long-awaited return of Molton Brown to QVC on Monday 25th August at 10pm with Ali Young. I can include myself in that as I have continued to buy Recharge Black Pepper for my other half, even though we haven’t been selling it, because he loves it.
Imagine how funny it was when our daughter Sophie arrived home from work on Wednesday evening after a visit to cosmetics manufacturer (she is now working in recruitment for the beauty industry) with a couple of samples, one of which was Molton Brown! She had been visiting the facility where they make Molton Brown amongst other high end beauty brands. So the claim on the bottles, ‘Made in England’, I can absolutely verify. If you love to buy British, adore gorgeous aromas and like to save a bit of money, I would strongly recommend you watch on Monday night …. I know I will be.
Last week I was talking about going to Simon Wilson’s birthday bash. He had organised for his family and some friends to have early dinner with him at 5pm before the party started. There are not many people I would have missed the opening game of the football season for, particularly as Palace were live on Sky Sports, but Simon is one of them.
Sophie and Daniel came over to Notting Hill with us and then watched the game at a pub down the road before joining us at Beach Blanket Babylon for the party afterwards. Unfortunately Palace conceded a goal in the last minute of the game but, considering we are currently manager-less, a 2 – 1 loss against Arsenal wasn’t a bad result. It didn’t dampen my spirits.
I thoroughly enjoyed the party, even having a little bop at one point, and no I wasn’t drunk as I was the designated driver. At least that meant I woke up the next morning without a thumping headache … I’m not sure the same can be said for Simon! Daniel stayed over at our house that night, which meant Wilfie stayed too. It was lovely to have a cuddle with Wilfie which I must confess I have been missing.
On Sunday morning Chris couldn’t get our internet to work. On closer examination Milo had given a repeat performance of biting through my phone charger wire, this time with the internet cable. The temporary solution we have come up with is to encase the wires in a piece of old hose-pipe … not very attractive but it seems to be doing the job so far! Any ideas on how to stop Milo chewing cables would be much appreciated …. and he looks so innocent doesn’t he!?!
Today’s Fashion on Friday is Italian brand Silvia Mori. I have already had some nice comments about the top I was wearing for the Vionic TSV launch last night, which is from the range. Then at 7pm I have fashion jewellery brand RJ Graziano – some very bold and glam pieces. Lots to look forward to on QVC over this weekend and then it’s Christmas (in August) all day Monday. Enjoy your long weekend – hope the weather picks up a bit
