We’ve raised £100,000 for the Royal British Legion

The Royal British Legion receiving a cheque for £100,000 on airThank you to everyone for all your support! We have just presented the Royal British Legion with a giant cheque for £100,000, thanks to the gorgeous crystal poppy pin that Buckley designed to raise money for the Poppy Appeal.

It sold out straightaway and has just sold out again after we received more stock! In total, we sold 20,000 pins (each with a £5 donation)! Unfortunately this pin is now completely sold out but you can still show your support with a similiar version in the Poppy Shop.

The annual Poppy Appeal raises funds for The Royal British Legion, the nation's leading Armed Forces charity, who provide care and support for those who have served or who are currently serving in the British Armed forces.

Buckley Crystal Poppy Brooch

The 2010 Poppy Appeal raised over £36 million and this year's appeal is extra special as it marks the 90th Anniversary of The Royal British Legion and 10 years since British soldiers entered Iraq and Afghanistan.

Adrian Buckley was also recently invited to Buckingham Palace where a member of staff from the Royal household explained that last year they had been unable to get any brooches at the Palace.

Adrian despatched a box immediately and received a note of thanks explaining that they were much appreciated within the Palace and by members of the Royal Family. Adrian told QGossip that he is absolutely delighted that his brooches have been such a hit in so many households across the country and is delighted with the fundraising effort of all involved!

The Royal British Legion is a registered charity (Registered Charity Number 219279).

I bought 4 of these pins last year, 1 for me and 3 for gifts for our girls. This year I bought another 2 simply because I think they are lovely. The fact that each brooch purchase includes a £5.00 donation to the wonderful Royal British Legion organisation makes them even lovlier. Thank you Adrian, keep up the good work, it is so worthwhile.
