It’s been a nail-biting end to the season for my football team, Crystal Palace.
Thankfully, securing their Premier League status didn’t go down to the last game of the season – or I wouldn’t have had any nails left to show off this fabulous OPI colour called ‘Kiss Me, I’m a Brazilian’. It’s part of one of the Today’s Special Value options next Tuesday.
I wore it for my Flora Mare show yesterday, with the charming Axel Ruth, and had loads of comments about it. It’s fabulously bright and will look gorgeous on my toenails too, now that I have had my feet ‘tidied up’ a bit courtesy of the Margaret Dabbs team on Wednesday.
I wonder if you bought the Today’s Special Value? It was certainly an impressive before and after on my feet but, just to mention, they did also use the foot file to lessen the dead skin build-up.
So, back to the football. Looking at this photograph, you might get the impression that I was at Selhurst Park last weekend, but that’s not the case.
One of my Facebook friends posted this picture, which I think must have been taken four or five years ago and it’s such a nice shot, I thought I would share on here. I used to get the occasional invitation to watch matches from the box with the lady I was photographed with, Denise, but I don’t think I’ve been to a game at all this season.
I had even forgotten that the match was on television until just before half time, as I was off sick last weekend. I’ve had a ‘funny tummy’ for almost three weeks now and, if I don’t see any improvement by Monday, after giving the prebiotic/probiotic tablets that Chloe Everton kindly suggested for helping to settle things, it will have to be a trip to the doctor.
I’m not the only presenter who is under the weather, Pipa is off sick today so I will be sitting in for her for my third Lunchtime Show this week. I don’t mind mind at all, as it’s one of my favourite QVC shows to do. Get well soon Pipa.
Whilst on the subject of old photos, Liz Earle posted this photo of us together at the book launch for my first novel ‘Life’s a Beach and Then…’ on Instagram.
The funny thing is, she posted the picture on the date of the second anniversary of the eBook launch, which was five weeks before the party – spooky, eh?
I was so chuffed she came to the party, along with Simon Wilson and lots of my friends from QVC.
Liz has just brought out a new book herself called ‘The Good Gut Guide’, which has been very popular. Plus, of course, there is this fabulous Liz Earle Today’s Special Value this weekend, which I’m disappointed to be missing.
I won’t be missing the Peony Today’s Special Value next Thursday though. How lovely is this vase?
My house is full of Peony arrangements and, the beauty is, you don’t need to water them! It also comes with a fragrance stick so, not only do they look real, they smell real too! What a clever idea.
That will be my first day back in after my five day break, but before that I also have another Flora Mare show with Axel and then Antthony Designs for Fashion on Friday – I wonder what his outfit will be like today?
If you love your fashion, here’s the latest Look of the Week video. This will feature on the QVC Style Channel during the the live broadcast each weekday at 4pm.

Let’s hope the weather picks up this weekend – mind you, the garden has certainly benefited from the rain.
