We’re launching our new on-screen graphics today

15

We've been working behind the scenes on our new graphics which you will see for the first time on screen at 9am today! The main reasons we've changed the graphics are so that we can show you more of the products and give you more information as well. If you shop using the red button, you will still be able to do so – we've just removed the image of it to give more room for the extra information.

Take a look below at a few of the changes which we hope will benefit you when you watch QVC. Even though we're giving you more information on the right hand side, we've still created enough room to show you the full view of our products.

Measurement information

You can see the sizes of each item clearly and easily on the right hand side of the screen.

Auto Delivery information

We can give you more information about the Auto Delivery offer available on certain products.

Hate this new side panel, it’s an annoying distraction that keeps poping up and even less space to see products.
If it keeps up I’ll be turning off QVC in the future, too much to have to put up with.

sorry, but i dont like the new graphics, its just too much on the screen and distracts from the products, which are now the smallest part of the screen., please re-look and reconsider how to put across all this information.

    One word, awful!
Tuned in yesterday to watch Honora and after 10 minutes changed channel!
Cannot understand the reasoning behind the constant scrolling bar popping up on the righthand side of the TV screen giving information about the community, apps etc, which is already detailed in the bottom bar.
It not only distracts, but detracts from the products being shown, along with blocking out guests and presenters.
For instance, yesterday I tuned in again to see Laura Gellar and felt sorry for the model, who was having a split screen, before and after shot and was continually looking down at the monitor to try and position herself so that half of her after face shot wasn’t being cut off.
Watching Kathy this morning showing the Babyliss Hot Pick, there was a close up of the item explaining the various buttons etc, only for the scrolling bar to pop up and obscure half of the product being demonstrated.
Why the constant tinkering by the graphics people, we already know they are brilliant in what they do, so please don’t take the pleasure out of our TV viewing, by putting annoying pop-ups on our TV screens…at least on computers we can block pop-ups!
So in a nutshell, I cannot see the point as it makes the viewing area much smaller in the middle of the TV screen.
    Sorry for the negative response.

For me this is a retrograde step. I have a 25″ TV screen. The banner at the bottom already takes 3 1/2″ off it. Now with two 5 1/2″ banners to right and left I have lost 11″ from the width of the screen. Items you are selling are obscured by the new banner. It makes the screen look like a cheap pound shop with sale signs all over the window. If I was a seller I would not be pleased at how little screen ‘time’ is given to my product. This is confusing, detracting, untidy and very, very off putting. My eye is all over the place and missing what I need to see. Please see the number of negative comments on Facebook.

Not impressed with the new graphics at all.Cannot see why we need the new graphics on the right hand screen as they take up so much space. You constantly tell us all the ways to make an order, now I don’t have the red button showing on screen. I only have a 32inch screen and now all I get is an envelope of the products on offer. Can’t see full length when showing fashion, very off putting and not enjoyable to watch. Also not happy with the amount of tweets that get read out on air time, more info and demo’s of products more enjoyable.Used to enjoy watching QVC as I found it quite relaxing,Now I find all this info annoying. All in all not easy to watch. Moan over!!!

Agree with all the others I’m afraid; very distracting. Won’t stop me watching the Q though.

The new sidepanel is nothing but an advertising banner. The sizes, colours etc are still on the graphics at the bottom of the screen.
I think all the banners take up 50% of the screen and the right hand side banner is just a step too far…I don’t want to see your advertising thank you.
Please go back to the old graphics.

    Hello QVC,
Just been reading the comments about the new graphics on screen, the customer is right, they do take up quite a lot of the screen, you can`t see much at all. I think qvc should listen to their customers, and do something about this, asap, after all we are an important part of the company. regards marjorie gregory

I have to say I agree with the majority of negative comments regarding the new graphics. However, I do like to see the measurements for the clothing which I find very useful as I am usually between sizes and I can compare the measurements to see it its best for me to go up or down a size. I do find it very annoying that the bottom bar constantly fills the screen as some of the presenters are more my height and size i.e. the lovely Debbie Flint, and its rare to get full view of items she is wearing which give me a more realistic view of how something will look on me. The models are all too tall and i find it very disappointing when clothing looks so different on me and i have the expense of sending it back. Other than that i love qvc and the customer service is fabulous. Everyone is so friendly, polite and helpful at all times. No wonder they have achieved awards. Well done.

I Don’t understand why QVC are not listening to its viewers in regard to the new graphics. I have yet to read one positive comment about them yet. Currently QVC is unviewable to me, I have tried to watch but have found the new graphics so distracting and disturbing that I cannot watch any more, and QVC is usually my favourite channel. Why would a channel that relies on people watching to buy products, want to upset their customers in such a way? I tried contacting customer services on the first day that the new graphics started, but was only told in a slightly patronising way that I must be having problems with them because I do not have a wide screen TV, well yes I DO have a 42″ wide screen TV. If I wanted to have a tiny small area on my TV on which to view items surely I would buy a smaller TV, I do not need QVC to do this for me. QVC PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE listen to your loyal customers on this matter and put the graphics back to the way they were before, I want to be able to watch my favourite channel again.

    HELLO
JUST WANTED TO COMMENT AGAIN ABOUT THE NEW GRAPHICS,I AM JUST WONDERING IF QVC ARE LISTENING TO THE CUSTOMER, THERE IS PLENTY ON THIS SITE GIVING THEIR VIEWS ON THE GRAPHICS,SAYING THEY ARE NOT HAPPY,BUT NOTHING SEEMS TO BE HAPPENING, I KNOW IF THIS DOES NOT CHANGE I WILL JUST GIVE UP WATCHING QVC, AS I CAN`T SEE MUCH ON MY SCREEN, SINCE THIS HAS BEEN INTRODUCED. DON`T GET ME WRONG I ENJOY WATCHING QVC, AND I HAVE BOUGHT SOME REALLY GOOD PRODUCTS OVER THE YEARS,BEEN VERY HAPPY UP UNTIL NOW, SO I JUST HOPE QVC WILL STOP BOMBARDING OUR SCREENS WITH THESE GRAPHICS,AND GIVE US A BIT OF SPACE SO WE CAN SEE WHAT THE PRODUCTS ARE,LIKE I SAID IN MY LAST EMAIL, QVC MUST KEEP THE CUSTOMER HAPPY,

    Oh dear!!!
Tried to watch QVC electronics today (especially interested in the Sony camera and Bose) but the new side graphics kept getting in the way.
I want to see the product and what it can do without distractions like pop up displays and anymore info bars.
I mean what’s the point of showing camera video content on a big tv screen when it’s hidden behind a graphics panel!!
I gave up in the end and switched off.
If you carry on with too much screen clutter then why not go the whole way, just show pictures of the product and don’t bother with presenters and guests.

Just to add to the comments, those of us with small TVs, 22 inch to be exact lose the side bar. I can only see half of the item number and price info, which is annoying. I also can’t see the bottom banner. I could adjust my telly to post box, but I’m not going to just so I can watch one channel. Might be worth reconsidering how much graphic there is, people want to see products.

My 3 year old LG TV does not have a screen aspect ratio that enables the entire QVC screen to be viewed. I have tried all the available ones and even the 16:9 still doesn’t allow the sides of the picture to be seen. Very annoying
