It was fantastic to have my little girl back home after she did her first trip away with the school last week. They went camping and had such bad weather – I have never seen so much mud in all my life!
Since then, we have had a hectic half term with my daughter competing in the All England dance regional finals, something which happens every two years and is very exciting.
I must admit when the alarm went off at half six on bank holiday morning I could have easily stayed in bed but Cassidy loves the competitions and has worked really hard, managing to win a gold medal: a fantastic achievement!
The dance festivals are where I started and it's great to see so many mums that I used to dance with supporting their own children. When you get to the All England competition the standard is incredible – forget Britain's Got Talent! There are some amazingly talented kids taking part and I could honestly sit and watch them all day.
Luckily I've been trying out a new TSV which came in very handy at the festival. I've now thrown out my old plastic cool box and replaced it with the Sachi cool bag. I have the leopard print – not only is it really snazzy, but it kept our food and drinks really cold and is so much easier than a cool box to store away!
Since theme parks charge a fortune for really bad food it's so much better to pack a picnic – something that's easier than ever with my new cool bag. It's brilliant because it's so much lighter than a conventional cool box to carry around. Watch out for Sachi launching on the 14th of June!
Also don't miss Diamonique day on Friday which is an annual event that really does have something for everyone. As this is our 20th birthday year it's sure to be extra special. I'll be with you at 8pm before I'm joined by Dale at 10pm for the grand finale.
