Welcoming winter and preparing for Diamonique Day!

Hello, hope all is well!

I enjoyed our summer last week, brief though it was. However, if I'm honest it was a little too hot for me! Some of my friends and colleagues scorn at me when I say that. I've never been one for the heat,  I do prefer the cold. During the winter months I get some funny looks from parents as I stroll with my children to school wearing a t-shirt without a jacket!

It's been a brilliant and busy week here at QVC. I was invited to the Breast Cancer Care Fashion show on Wednesday. I had the most amazing time. I shared a table with Alison Keenan's friends and family, and what a special night it was.

Alison gave the most incredible speech, you could have heard a pin drop! Then there was the catwalk with lots of fund raising. We have our Breast Cancer Care event, on air, this coming Wednesday 12th October from 7pm.

The day before is another special date in the diary. Diamonique Day! This range of jewellery is one of the flagship shows of QVC. We are so proud of the designs, and of course the wonder of how Diamonique gives you the feel and look of real diamond!

I've met with the buyers and selected a few personal favourites. My shows start at 1pm with 'Diamonique Gifts'. Then I have three hours in a row from 3pm with 'Get Your Rocks On!', 'Simply Diamonique' and 'Diamonique All That Glitters'!

Take care!

Hi Charlie have just watched Ali’s speech it moved me to tears, my sister has had cervical cancer although she has beat it she has not been well, the chemo and radioteraphy has weakened her immune system so she catches everything going, and now walks with a stick, thats why the Macmillian nurses are campaigning to let families know what happens after you beat the cancer, but fingers crossed my sister Abi is well at the moment she has even gained a stone in weight because as a result of the treatment she was diagnosed with anorexia due to have bowel problems, so i shall be watching the Breast cancer show next week.
Shall be watching the diamonique shows absolutely love the jewellery, i may treat my sister to some because in my eyes she is a diamond and a survivor
Take care Charlie and keep warm

Hello Debi. Thank you so much for your feedback, I’m really touched. I am so sorry to hear of your sisters difficult times. Do pass on our best wishes to Abi. I agree, Alisons speech was amazing and I too can’t wait for our BCC show! I do hope you enjoyed DMQ day.
    kind regards

    Hi Charlie
I watched Ali’s speech on You Tube and on QVC’s website link. It was incredibly moving and, like Debi, it moved me to tears also. I bet there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Didn’t she look beautiful though. What a fabulous inspirational lady she is.
I’ve heard you say how much trouble you have sleeping. I’m just the same but have recently discovered a herbal remedy called Asphalia for Sleep. It’s completely natural and has the effect of increasing your melatonin levels. It has great reviews (google it if you’re interested). It seems to be doing the trick for me so you might want to try it.
