Welcome to 2016!

How are you? I hope you had a super-duper festive season. I wanted to say A MASSIVE THANK-YOU for all your supportive messages after my chaotic house move a week before Christmas. If you missed the blog and my Moving Day video, go check it out here.

So we’ve arrived, we’ve settled in, We had Christmas Day with all the family and lots of visiting, then I was at QVC for a few days before New Years. Austen and I, with his old college friend Pete had a low-key celebration: a few drinks at our fabulous new local pub the Hare and Hounds.

If you let me into your new year thoughts, I’ll tell you about mine. Resolutions as such sound like such grand things where you make big changes and you never stick to them (or is that just me) So basically I want to eat more healthily and try and get fitter. No massive strides when it comes to the exercise things because I have bad knees, so I’ve been getting the courage up to try a Beginners Yoga class at the nearby gym. My Nutri Ninja is back out and on the table top (as it should be) – check out my quick video of my first juice of the year.

I’m also vowing to get a better night’s sleep. I drink Bedtime some nights to get me off to sleep but I also need to combat my overheated nights. I hope that the Magniflex topper – which is this Saturday’s (the 9th of January) TSV – might help in that regard. Stefano is in town this weekend and I’ve got a show with him at 8pm. Incredible Italian design and creation – brilliant toppers to extend the life of an old mattress. The double is perfect for my bed which is currently our main mattress but which is eventually going to be the guest bedroom mattress – we’ve had it for about eight years so it does need a new lease of life.  It’s a 3-in-1, merino wool and bio cotton for under £100. Check out the video I shot of it today here. Oh, and just FYI, my top is an old favourite from Nina Leonard, but you can find more lovely options online.

Also if you’re seeking the perfect winter boot in readiness for all that snow that is being predicted by the weathermen, then you need to watch Monday’s (11th January) TSV launch of the Today’s Special Value by EMU. Sarah Booker and I are going to take you through the five fabulous colours (two of which are made especially for QVC!) And, of course, being EMU we’re talking the finest Australian sheepskin, as well as this one being water resistant. Here are some pics of this very lush fashion boot.

Dunno about you but I’m pretty vain when it comes to my footwear and these are just the ticket to show off in. Showing that you’ve got style, some cash and you are a discerning woman about town.

Stay in touch over the festive season with me on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram – @TVMarv on all fronts!

HI Laurie – I’m not at the BB next week because I’m taking leave – got lots to sort in the new house. We’re settling in nicely thanks. Still pinching myself like it’s a dream. We’ve gotta sort out builders quotes, rip up carpets and all the rest of it. A fair old bit to do so we gotta get cracking.
oooooh I didnt know the Speakmans were coming to Brum – I remember hearing a lot about them a few years back from my friends in Manchester- and then they started appearing on TM. Great to see them touring – have you got your ticket then? I might investigate
Have a fab time at the bash
    xxxxxxxx
