Welcome back Morning Style with Kathy!

Yong Kim panel dressAfter a little summer break our Morning Style show will be returning this week, so you can welcome back your fabulous weekly fashion fix with Kathy Tayler! The first show will be on Wednesday 7th August and will continue every Wednesday morning at 10am.

This week's show will be looking at how to create a capsule wardrobe, selecting garments that can work together to bring you lots of different outfits for various moods and occasions. We will be talking to experts and showcasing some classic investment pieces that will work throughout the seasons and trends, always staying in style.

Clarks Kendra heelsThe QVC online fashion team have put together a list of essential items that no capsule wardrobe should be without. On Wednesday's show Kathy will be looking at this Yong Kim panel dress (pictured above left). This trans-seasonal staple piece is flattering and appropriate for all occasions, especially paired with these fabulous Clarks Kendra heels (left). These black leather courts are definitely a must-have for your shoe wardrobe!

Another wardrobe classic that works as a transitional piece throughout the seasons is a bright or printed shirt. A colourful blouse can be added to any outfit; paired with trousers, a pencil skirt or even something shorter, it will add beautiful colour and interest. Our favourites are this bright Fenn Wright Manson button through shirt below left) and this Yong Kim spot shirt (below right). Perfect for fun and flirty style in any weather!

We have a little note from Kathy Tayler too, who is very excited to be returning to Morning Style this week!

Kathy Tayler"Good news! Morning style is back! After our July break we are re-claiming our regular slot at 10am on Wednesdays. The first show, on August 7th, features some of the best from QVC's early autumn collection. As always, we will be doing our best to help you find your way around QVC fashion – showing you how to mix and match different brands for your own personalised look.

For the first show our theme will be how to create a capsule wardrobe for the coming season. Stylist Charlotte has put together a collection of versatile clothes from different designers that will combine to give you a variety of looks for various moods or occasions. Choose from a skirt and a pair of trousers, a shirt, a cardigan, a top and a tunic, and also a couple of dresses – match with our chosen coat and scarf for the complete wardrobe of styles, or simply pick your favourite pieces! The fab news is that it's all available on three Easy Payments, helping you to spread the cost of anything you choose to buy.

Regular guest stylists Wendy Elsmore and Ashling McCloy will both be with me to bring their hints, tips and fashion flair to the show, so I really hope you can join us too. And you can contact Morning Style with your comments, questions and queries by email at morningstyle@qvc.com

Hope to see you there!"

I am pleased that Kathy is back with her fashion slot hopefully with plenty of ideas of what goes with what.
I am 5’7.5″ and so many of the dresses are just too short, especially those from the US. I cannot begin to tell you how many times I have phoned Customer Services and asked for length measurements. What, in my opinion, is needed is clear descriptions (no hype), correct and reliable measurements, especially lengths and more classic items, suitable for ladies of mid years. I think, like M & S, QVC need to understand what market they are aiming at – you cannot be all things to all people. Mostly the young ones do not shop off TV and there are plenty of trendy shops on the High Street that cater for them. There is definitely a gap in the market for stylish and reasonably priced clothes for ladies.
