When did your passion for classical music first begin?
I think it first began when I was about 7 years old. I remember being taken to a symphony orchestra concert and thinking that I would love to play that kind of music.
I wanted to play the violin from the age of 7 but only started when I was 8 once my parents realised that it wasn't just a passing phase.
Tell us about your most memorable performance?
My most memorable performances are probably my debuts in London, in the Festival Hall with the London Philharmonic Orchestra when I was 17 and in recital in the Wigmore Hall when I was 21. These were really special as I was playing to my home audience, being a Londoner!
Very surprised! No one from my record company, Sony, had told me in advance. So it was a genuine surprise when my name was announced. It was a very exciting day!
Who is your favourite composer and violinist?
My favourite composer is a difficult one because I tend to love whatever I'm playing! I love playing anything from Baroque to contemporary 21st century music. My favourite violinist is probably Nathan Milstein, he always played with such grace and power at the same time.
Are you looking forward to performing on QVC and if so why?
I'm really looking forward to reaching out to a new audience who perhaps have not come across me before. The music we are performing is fantastic and I hope everyone will enjoy it!
