Hi there hope you are well and have had a good week? My week has been pretty varied (as it often is!) – on the weekend I went to see my friend Donato in Brussels, I hadn't been there since I was a tour guide in my early 20s, so it was great fun to be back.
It was a fairly relaxed weekend, just catching up with Donato and exploring the city. As always there was some partying to be done – let's just say Sunday morning I had a rather thick head!
I also took it on myself to find the perfect waffle – Belgium is famous for its waffles, there are 2 types; the Brussels waffle which is rectangular and has a plainer flavour then the Liege waffle which is oval in shape and is sweeter as it has chunks of crystallised sugar in it… no prizes for guessing which one I loved the most!!
One funny part of the weekend was that I read in a guide book that the best waffles in Brussels are in a market at Place Flagey, a 20 minute bus ride out of the city – a man from Liege drives to the market every week and makes them fresh in his van. So, feeling a little worse for wear we set off to Place Flagey, but he'd sold out – rather disappointing! No matter though, I found some other good ones back in town!
I actually took this Sunday's TSV with me; it's a Samsung laptop and even though it's probably more something you would use in and around the home, I wanted to see if it truly was portable. And I have to say it is, it was great using it on Eurostar and also to catch up on some bits whilst I was away. I even watched last week's 'The Apprentice' on it on YouTube on Sunday afternoon when we were taking a much needed chill out!
It's really powerful, it's fast, it's a joy to use and (perhaps most importantly!) it looks really stylish in white and blue and has some amazing features and a long battery life; I was only travelling to Brussels but the battery would last a flight to New York!
Also this week saw me start another fitness 'blitz' with my trainer Maciej. What with the wedding and life just being manic, I've let my fitness slip again and was starting to put the weight back on that I had worked so hard to lose – it's a constant battle isn't it!? As always, I will let you know how I get on.
Hope you like the photos, some are in Brussels, and there's one with the wonderful Lucy Hedges, who will be the guest for the Samsung TSV, in a training session we had with Samsung earlier this week. There's also a sneakly one of me in the sports hall; I did a session with Maciej and a class today with 30 minutes in between, so I took the TSV with me in order to organise some photos for my sister. It also comes with loads of added value with anti-virus and really useful software – I'm about to load this onto my sample so I'll let you know how I get on and what kind of things you can use it for.
Oh, one final thing, I will put some wedding pics on my blog soon, still waiting for the official ones and to ask my sister which one she would like to make public. I have some great ones on my camera but I really want my sister to decide which ones I can use! There's also a wedding video which we have had a preview of and it's amazing, I cried (again!), I will put a clip of that on my blog soon too, all in good time, I promise!!
Have a great weekend, I'll be on Saturday night and Sunday night with Samsung TSV, Veronese jewellery, Love Baking and Pilates!!! Variety IS the spice of life!!
