Judith Williams Rose Oil - October POM

My verdict on October’s Beauty Pick

Judith Williams, a European celebrity, (she is a judge on the German ‘Dragons Den’), with her own beauty clinic in Munich and her own cosmetic line, has the accolade of the European, top-selling shopping channel brand.

Her ‘Rose Oil’, which is a blend of carrier oils, such as Almond, Jojoba, Argan and Rosehip to name but a few, is rich in vitamin E, designed to add moisture to any skin routine, and in this size, can be used not just on the face but on the body and hands as well. The Product of the Month for October is the largest size of this skin moisturising oil that we have ever done.

This comes at a perfect time of the year when all skin types, because of the winter weather, central heating and car heaters, will suffer from surface dryness so this can be used either on its own or layered with your other products. You can even add a pump or two to mix into things like cleansers, body lotions and hand creams to give a richer and more skin-softening effect.

Judith WilliamsThis size should certainly see you all the way through the winter, into next spring – even for a liberal user, and the customer that will get the most value for money out of it is definitely those of you that complain of a dry skin. This may be due to the ageing process, medical conditions or a genetic pre-disposition and you will be the sort of client who will often be getting through products quicker than the length we say they will last on air. For example, a 50ml moisturiser should normally last you three months but if it’s not lasting you that length of time, your skin is very dry and you need to take the next step and add some richer ingredients.

If you are using other Judith Williams products, the cold pressed oils in this ‘Rose Hip’ formula are compatible with the cold pressed oils in her emulsions such as her creams so you can even mix them together, even with your face cream.

If you are using another brand, either from us or from your high street, then you may find it easier to layer this under or on top of your existing regime to give dry skin increased comfort and suppleness. As the winter progresses and the weather potentially gets worse, an easy way of using this would be to have it at your bedside table and apply to your face, neck, hands, elbows and to any dry areas just before you go to bed.

The product has a relatively neutral smell as it’s not an essential oil based formula so it won’t disturb any existing fragrances that you are enjoying from your current brands.

As you are getting such a generous size, try even doing a scalp massage treatment, especially if you have flaky or dry patches on the scalp, especially before shampooing. If you have long, dry or brittle hair, you can use it as a hair serum too.

Ali….I have psoriasis which is usually well controlled except for my scalp. Have you any suggestions? I used to have thick hair, but not so now. I think this is partially due to the psoriasis. I am using cocois shampoo on prescription, and alternating this with coconut oil, but it is still not well controlled. Thanks
