On Easter Monday we are launching the first Ultrasun Today's Special Value offer of 2013. I'm very excited as I hope with this new format we have something for everyone. For the first time, the collection will be available in a choice of two options – one with slightly lower factors for those sun worshipers and one kit with higher factors for sun sensitive people like me or children so everyone can take advantage of the price.
I constantly get questions about application for Ultrasun with regard to ‘how do you use it in your beauty routine?’ Often, there can be different techniques at home and abroad. At home, your morning beauty routine can be as simple as choosing either the Ultrasun SPF 30 or 50 anti-ageing day cream because this is a day cream with anti-ageing ingredients and in general all day stable SPF.
This is also the favoured way of using it on holiday because even with a beauty regime, often it can be quite hot and humid early in the day especially if you don’t have air conditioning so it is simpler and safer to just use Ultrasun as your day cream and Ultrasun SPF as your body cream every morning.
Top tips on how to use
If you shower first, just make sure the skin is clean and dry. If you don’t, and you just wash, again just apply to clean, dry skin. Don’t go in the sun for at least 15 – 30mins – go to breakfast and then the SPF that you apply once only will be absolutely fine. Unless, you experience extreme temperature/extreme heat/inability to take shade breaks you can reapply in key areas that you feel are sun sensitive.
For example, in this country with my fair skin, I might be riding horses and because I work nights, working out on the farm all day in the sunshine although I wear hats I may not be able to take shade breaks so I may put an extra application on ears, nose and shoulders.
Introducing SPF into your skincare routine
When you use Ultrasun in combination with your other skincare products, it is very quick and simple. Just put the Ultrasun on first and wait 10-15 minutes. Have your breakfast, get ready etc. and follow with any other serums or moisturisers if need be.
It wont block them sinking in and it wont stop your other anti-ageing products from working. If you want to, you can also do your full skin serums and moisturiser first but you need to allow enough time so that they have all completely sunk in with no surface residue. This may take up to 15 – 30 minutes depending on humidity. Once everything has sunk in you could apply Ultrasun and then wait another 15 – 20 minutes before going out in the sun but obviously this system takes longer.
The most important thing, if you were to miss anything out, is to put your Ultrasun on every morning and apply all your serums, oils and moisturisers every night and that can speed up and simplify your beauty regime.
