Diamonique Day is almost upon us and I'm really looking forward to the launch of the Today's Special Value at midnight with Craig. It's a beautiful tennis bracelet with an ingenious magnetic clasp. I would love it but I have no excuse to buy unfortunately, as I still have my Diamonique tennis bracelet bought for me for Christmas 1994! It still looks as good as new and I still wear it.

I always remember the huge hints I dropped in the run up to Christmas and the delight when I opened my pressie!! I also remember one time I was wearing it in a restaurant, and every time the waitress came to our table she couldn't take her eyes off it. Eventually, when she brought us the bill, she finally asked, "Is it real?" What did I answer? I'll leave you to decide, but I had to leave quite a large tip!!! Have you ever told a little white lie about your Diamonique jewellery?

I haven't seen the entire collection for Diamonique Day, but a couple of pieces apart from the TSV have particularly caught my eye. There is another piece of wrist jewellery, a gorgeous 3 row bangle and a beautiful 2 ring set from the Epiphany platinum clad collection – one of the rings has a plain band and the other is a 3 stone ring.

If you're getting married but watching the pennies, it would make a stunning alternative to diamonds! I also love the different colours of Diamonique, purple is my favourite (goes without saying really!) but we have a pair of simulated padparascha sapphire drop earrings which are show stoppers. The colour is orange but with undertones of pinky-red… just like a fabulous sunset.

Hope you enjoy the day!

Love Julia xx

Julia I remember your tennis bracelet it was lovely I just wish they made them in a smaller size as my wrist is only just over 6 inches (just wish the rest of me was that small)though I have managed to stay at my goal weight after my diet chef. How is your weight going you look good on the tele? Am I mistaken or was ther some talk that diamonique were doing a pearl range? Speak soon.XXX

    Hi Julia
My gloves and watch have just arrived. They are both amazing, exactly what I was looking for. My daughter is going to LOVE the watch.
SO glad your mum got the all clear, those are the words you wait to hear. Fantastic news. Its such a shame she is still suffering, such a horrid thing to have to go through.
Good luck with the move, hope it all goes well. Im sure Poppy will be fine. They are more resilient than we think they are.

    Hello Pauline
Only just saw your post so I’m hoping you caught the Pearl Diamonique show?? I also have a small wrist just over 6 inches and the 19cm is ok on me in certain styles, so long as you don’t mind it a bit drapey.
Well done on keeping the weight off after losing it on Diet Chef. That was my biggest concern, but I’ve been off it for 6 weeks or more and I’ve actually lost a couple more pounds rather than gaining them ……… mind you that could be the stress of moving house!

Glad you were pleased with your BCC ‘goodies’. Thankyou for your kind remark about Sophie – you’re right we are proud of her cos she looks lovely, but also for wanting to do it for such a good cause!
Thanks for reassuring me about Poppy – she is a bit freaked at the moment as we have packing cases everywhere as you would imagine after 16 years!!!!

    Hi Tracey,
No Surrey isn’t losing us ……………. yet! It is always a wrench leaving a home you have put so much love into but I have been ready for a change for about 18 months ( I am a Gemini after all ). Originally we were intending to downsize but as the children are living at home it’s more of a sideways move – you know the sort of thing, a change is as good as a rest.
I think the next move will have to be to the coast as I absolutely love the sea.
Hope you manage to get back to Surrey soon

Just saw the TSV for today – the very cosy & elegant fur coat. Yum! Can’t justify it but very nice. I just heard you say you bought your son an Armani coat one year! Lucky boy!! I would have saved my money lol! I’ve never bought anything designer but one day once the flipping finance world picks up maybe I wil treat myself!! Have a great weekend.

    Hi Julia
Sorry I haven’t been on since your ‘first car’ post, but unfortunately I had an accident at home on 8 October… slipped on a small piece of moss on the patio and dislocated my ankle and broke my leg!!!
It all happened very quickly and I didn’t feel a thing and remained very calm throughout the paramedics were brilliant as were the hospital staff. I’ve had to have an operation and 2 plates either side of my right ankle and the only thing I thought about was not being able to wear my Ronni Nicole dresses with killer heels!!!!
I’ve had the stitches out, but couldn’t watch it made me feel queezy and am now sporting a lovely purple cast for the next 4 weeks. Chris has been really good looking after me and has extended his cooking skills somewhat too! He’s also converted the dining room into a bedroom for me. Chris has been telling everybody about it and that it was a real footballers injury without all the rolling around they do!
Don’t want to bore you too much more, but I have been watching, take care and speak soon.

    Anyway, take care.
Hope you are well too Julia.

    Dear Julia,
I absolutely love diamonique and own a few pieces which always receive compliments, I must get the tennis bracelet as I have had my eye on it for some time but have not yet got around to it yet!
On thing I wanted to ask you was this, do the QVC presenters really buy and wear the items themselves? I feel sure you do but I read in a recent Sunday paper a rather hurtful comment about the QVC jewellery written by a caustic female reporter.
    many thanks

    Hi Una
Thanks for the wishes, still getting a lot of twinges and am a bit frustrated because it’s not weight bearing, so the most I do is hop to the loo on my crutches…. it’s amazing how your confidence goes! There was another lady in the plaster room who had done the same thing, same ankle too, but she had slipped on the step and fell on concrete….ouch! I only fell 30mm and caused all the damage, so her injury must have really hurt!
I’ve watched most of the shows, but haven’t ordered anything apart from the space saving hangers.
Your phone escapade made me giggle!

I got both Loccitane tsv options. My husband saw that I was drooling over them, and said he would get them for me for xmas. I practically grabbed them from the delivery man, couldnt get them open fast enough!! Unfortunately, my husband was there at the time, and whisked them away, LOL. Oh well, at least I know they will be sitting under my tree!! Im hoping there will be an Elemis xmas TSV like last year, my lovely man has said that will also be under my tree, if there is one?????!!!!!
Glad you found my phone escapade funny Annette, and hope you are feeling a bit stronger. Just take it easy ok.
Im so pleased Poppy is settling in, they are amazing little creatures arent they. If you read Ali Keenans recent post Julia, I was telling her about my little hero cat, Loops.

    Hi Julia,
I just wondered if you watch the X Factor and if so did you spot all of the beautiful Butler and Wilson jewellery being worn by the contestants on Saturday night. Simons skulls were just perfect for the Halloween theme they had. My husband is a huge fan of the skulls and owns several pieces but I didn’t really think they would be for me but I can honestly say that after seeing Mary Byrne wearing the Skull and tusk drop earrings I might just have to give those earrings a go. They all looked stunning in the jewellery. Simon should be so proud.

Only got the internet installed at home today so will catch up with Ali’s blog over the weekend and read about ‘Loops’.

    Hi Julia
Good Luck in your new home, hope it brings you lots of happy years there and you take all the memories of your previous home with you. Glad to hear Poppy has settled down at last. Our move has been put back, but we’ve still had a few viewings with me propped up on the bed in the dining room!
Thank you for your wishes, I’m getting there slowly, but also getting very frustrated at having to ask Chris for everything even washing my hair, which is something else over the sink! Had a bit of a scare last week and spent 2 days back and to the hospital after feeling very sick, they had to make sure there was nothing going on, so took the purple cast off to check for DVT’s which was OK and I now have a pink one on and go back on 17th to have that taken off and I think physio because for some reason they didn’t set my foot straight and it’s still pointing down slightly so will need to stretch the tendons with physio/exercises. I really miss not exercising….
Chris is working from home and I only get chance to use the internet once a week because we don’t have WiFi, so will speak soon.

    Hello Vera
I could have sworn I replied to your post but I can’t see it anywhere so maybe I forgot to type in the code!
Anyway, I don’t think they have my actual bracelet anymore – probably to do with the price of gold at the moment which would make the bracelet very expensive.
The silver TSV was similar sized stones ( a little larger I think ) and very believable but if you particularly wanted gold we will probably do one again in the future.
Sorry not to be of more help

    Hi Annette
You poor thing having to go back into hospital – at least it was nothing untoward. Are you sure you hadn’t just got bored with the purple cast LOL!!!!!!
You may well have needed some physio anyway just to strengthen things up a bit but take your time before going back to ‘execising’ fully.
I hope you put the dining room as an extra bedroom for the viewings? It would be typical if your house sold right now and you had to try and pack up with your foot in a cast …… I think they should call that one ‘Roberts Law’!!
Poppy absolutely loves the house particularly under Danny’s bed when she can sneak in there and behind the sofa in the Family Room, and she wants lots of cuddles which suits me fine.
If we don’t speak before I hope everything goes well on the 17th

    Hi Julia
I did want another purple cast, but they had run out, so it had to be pink which is quite nice! Can’t wait for Wednesday, it’s the first time that my leg has started to itch, so it will be a relief to get the cast off! The amount of muscle loss is amazing, so I think it will take quite some time to build it back up again, but no matter how frustrating it gets I will have to try and be patient, not something I’m good at!!
Glad to read that you have settled into you new house and Poppy has found some favourite places and wants loads of cuddles too!
I fully appreciate the change from gas to elelctic cooking. The times that things have boiled over because you don’t have the same control, even after 7 years of cooking here, it still happens….aaagh!! Not something I have had to worry about over the past weeks though with Chris doing all the cooking, LOL!
