Trend alert: ‘Nearly There’ Jewellery

2

Earlier this year we were thrilled to begin an collaboration with uber-stylish blogger Alex Stedman from The-Frugality.com, and since she did such an amazing job of explaining the jewellery world’s current trends when we celebrated our spring/summer Jewellery Month in May, we thought we’d invite her back for our autumn/winter Jewellery Month this September.

When Alex joined us earlier this year we looked at the trend for wearing assorted rings together, and in our video Alex was wearing a gorgeous geometric design with black spinel detailing from Lisa Snowdon on the day we filmed together.

This ‘open ended’ style, with a gap at the head of the ring, is one that is increasingly popular and has expanded into earrings and wristwear too. Alex joined us at our Jewellery Month photoshoot to explain how to wear the look:

One of the most popular forms of the trend uses small, round stones or pearls at the open ends, and we’ve got designs to inspire whatever your budget.

Shop these styles:

Aurora Swarovski Crystal Nearly There Ring
Honora Freshwater Pearl Nearly There Ring
Little Bird Amethyst & Aquamarine 9ct Gold Nearly There Ring

The stacking trend hasn’t gone away, and Sleeping Beauty have created a special design that fuses this with the nearly-there trend in a multi-row ring.

We couldn’t talk about Jewellery Month without mentioning Diamonique, created especially for QVC using lovingly-made simulated diamonds. Our arrow torque ring can also be spotted in the video, and has the geometric sensibility of Alex’s Lisa Snowdon ring at a more pocket-friendly price tag.

Designs featuring bars that extend along the finger are also proving popular, and Diamonique have a number of designs for you to choose from, including this sparkling pair:

Diamonique Baguette Bar 0.5ct Nearly There Ring Sterling Silver

These pieces and more will be featured in our latest Diamonique Day event on Friday 4th September. This sterling silver bangle, set with simulated diamonds at the ends, is brand new and can be yours for £52.80, while a similar design previously realised in stainless steel with a gold finish is available right now for the bargain price of £12.72.

The thread-through earrings our model is wearing in Alex’s video will be our Today’s Special Value offer during Diamonique Day on Friday 4th September, and feature floating simulated diamonds with 100 facets, substantially more than you would find on a typical brilliant cut – making them more reflective and promising spectacular sparkle.

This Diamonique Day is extra special because we’ll also be launching a brand new range using these simulated diamonds from the brain of glamorous entrepreneur Michelle Mone.

Michelle’s designs include plenty of designs that will complement your nearly-there pieces to help you curate an on-trend ring look, including geometric pieces like this stacking ring set and an openwork design

Rings are my thing and would like to see silver, gold or gold plated simple style, chunky band rings without bling, suitable for day sporty wear, I’m thinking Tyffany Atlas style for example.
