It's that time of year when our thoughts turn to finding the perfect present, or adorning ourselves with sparkling baubles for those all-important Christmas and New Year parties. And what better way than with Tova's Diamonique Collection?
We caught up with the lady herself before her on-air appearances…
What are your top jewellery picks for parties this season?
That would always depend on the parties. The wonderful thing about having a glorious collection to choose from, just as we have a separate wardrobe of clothes, is that you always have something to suit every occasion. And if I may say this is also important to carry through to your perfume wardrobe.
This year Ernest and I are travelling to Europe to visit friends and there will be some parties at their homes and one gala at a magnificent estate. I have chosen to take a lot of our Diamonique collection. For day I will be wearing my favourite Greek Key hoops. They are glamorous yet perfect for any occasion. These always travel with me.
For the evening event at our friends' estate I choose the perfect ensemble of the teardrop Tahitian pearls and the Diamonique Princess necklace. Each of these pieces can take you anywhere – elegance at it's very best!
an invisible chain is true perfection. Set these off with the most beautiful emerald shape blue Diamonique surrounded by perfectly matched round simulated diamonds and graceful shoulders that illuminate the wearer's finger.
What's on your Christmas wish list?
To be able to inspire women of all ages to go for their dreams however large or small. I've had the ability to share with people and want to thank each and everyone for their kindness and support over these many years. To me this is my fondest wish to inspire others to live their lives to the fullest.
What parties are you going to?
This year has been filled with travel, honours for Ernie, and numerous dinners, both formal and casual. By the time we get to Christmas we truly enjoy small gatherings.
This year we are having dinner with David Eisenhower, the grandson of President Eisenhower and his wife Julie Nixon-Eisenhower. He has just published his book about President Eisenhower.
We look forward to spending some quality time with them and then it will be New Year's again. January is going to be filled with preparations for Ernie's 'Lifetime Achievement Award' presented by the Screen Actors' Guild. This is the highest honour bestowed on an actor in his lifetime. We are so very proud and humbled by this great honour.
What are you planning to buy Ernie this Christmas?
We seldom speak to gifting for husbands, brothers or boyfriends. I'm so happy to finally share these precious cufflinks, suitable for both men and women.
I gave Ernest many years ago a pair of sapphire and diamond cufflinks, and later to match these I had the stays made for his tuxedo shirt. The cufflinks were from France and I found them through one of my favourite jewellery masters.
In my Diamonique version, baguettes of luminous simulated sapphires surround the most perfect round clear Diamonique stone. To me they are treasures.
What's your favourite piece of jewellery?
This question is impossible to answer! I can of course tell you that my mother's bracelet is one of my most precious pieces due to the fact that it was her wedding gift from my father.
Also my 25th wedding anniversary ring which I wear practically every day is such a special memory to me. So many of you agree since we duplicated this last year just for you.
Each piece in my collection represents a sentimental and precious moment of my life and I hope you have the same experience with what you choose for yourself or a gift.
One of my favourites from my collection of this season are the simulated diamond and sapphire swirl earrings; they are so elegant, feminine and unique. The originals were picked for me by Ernest for our celebration of Christmas 2000. To me they reflect the past, present and future.
I wish you all a truly wonderful Christmas and a magical New Year,
