Top Tips for Travel and Beauty

Hope you’ve all been keeping well?

The Summer is finally here and with it usually comes an abundance of travel. Lots of us take time to go on family vacations, jump on flights or take day and weekend trips on our own fair shores.

Travel can be very relaxing depending on the circumstances but can also be a stressful hectic time of adhering to all sorts of time tables and schedules. The mode of transport we go by can have an effect on our hydration, skin and ageing but there’s lots to do to stay ahead of the game.

These tips & products will have you looking fresher than ever when you reach your destination:

1) hydration hydration hydration!

Drink plenty of water ideally, avoid caffeine and alcohol which are diuretics and have a tendency to dehydrate us.

2) Enjoy some no make up time!

That’s right take it all off or don’t apply it in the first place, allow your skin to breath bare and naked as the day you were born. Double cleanse if you can with an oil based cleanser first. Try Elemis Cleansing balm followed by Sarah Chapman Rapid Cleanse or opt for Eborian 3 piece Korean Cleanse kit  which includes the amazing Green Tea Konjac sponge to get into all the nooks and crannies.

3) Invest in an active mist

These mists are a spritz of pure goodness and hydration. It is good to spritz onto cleansed skin which acts as a barrier between skin and recycled stale air. They’re great to have in humid conditions and warm temperatures to spritz throughout the day and keep skins topical hydration levels up. Caudalie do a great one but if not go for Elemis facial toner

4) Apply a mask or overnight oil

Don’t be afraid to slap this on at 40,000ft, it will provide intense nourishment and hydration needed to get you through. Go for one which dries down clear or even matte so you don’t look like your travelling in your kids face paints. We love Top Rated Sarah Chapman Overnight Facial or my current favourite Eborian Bamboo Waterlock Hydration Mask which is super cooling, dries clear and intensely hydrating!

5) Forty winks

The more and the merrier you’ll be when you land. Nothing more restorative for the mind & body than a nap. Invest in a good neck pillow and an eye masks and kick back for a snooze. You’ll definitely look better for it and your skin will thank you.

6) Eye gel or mask

The thinnest skin on the body needs to be carefully nurtured. Avoid those post flight bags, puffiness & dark circles by using Elemis Pro-Collagen Hydra Gel Mask in handy to use sachets or Decleor Hydrotenseur Anti Fatique Eye Serum. Very cooling, instantly hydrating and an all round holiday must have for warmer climates…don’t be without!

If ‘QVC cares’ How come you are selling brands that are tested on animals and contain animal ingredients, horrific painful testing when there is so much choice out there, Erborian for example.

    Hi A Parr,

We understand and share your concern. As a retailer, QVC UK requires all its suppliers to comply with EU laws on animal testing for cosmetic purposes. Erborian would like to reassure you that they have never tested their products, active ingredients or raw materials on animals at any point in the product development or manufacturing process. This principle applies similarly to their raw material suppliers. Erborian never uses materials of animal origins with the exception of beehive products.

    Best wishes,

    QVC Customer Care
