To dive or not to dive?

Hi everyone!

I’ve been away on a bit of a break with the family and had some wonderful rest and too much food, and it was absolutely fabulous! Just thought I’d catch up a bit and let you know what’s been going on. It's always easy going away at half term in February, but it’s a bit depressing coming back to the grey and bad weather!

Although things seem to have improved slightly and with a bit of warmth and brightness, my chickens are laying loads of eggs again (5 or 6 a day), the grass needs cut again (the mower won’t work!) and I’m looking forward to my morning run around Battersea park in day light soon!

My kids are growing up fast and I got a sharp reminder how I'll have to keep an eye on them from now on, as I caught Louisa ( who's only three and a half) tugging the waitresses apron at breakfast and saying, very politely “ may I have some wine please!”

I think the whole 'all inclusive' thing may have started to spoil her a bit. Kids don’t miss a trick… within two days they both knew how to order ice creams and knew our room number and the name of the barman!  Blimey!

No more breaks to look forward to now but I'm thinking about what to do on my birthday this year. It’s the big 50 and whilst the pressure is on to have some sort of party, I’m not really good at those and don’t really enjoy all the pressure it brings.

My wife asked me what I'd like to do and I said, without a moments hesitation, I'd like to go diving!  I love diving but rarely go when on holiday with the family as it rather excludes them, so the chance to go on a diving holiday sounds great! I’m a bit worried it's rather selfish of me so can’t really decide what to do. Still, it’s a high class problem to have!

I’ll try and keep in touch more regularly over the next few months.

I didnt have a party for my 50th instead we hired a suite in a very posh hotel, and invited about 20 people and had a wonderful meal.
All inclusive is brilliant, my fav place is Barbados! :)
