It's been a week or two since my last blog, having had a few weeks off work. It flew by, but they say (whoever they are!) that time flies when you're having fun!
I had a great break, although break is probably not the best choice of word! On pulling into Dad's driveway on the Isle of Wight I went a little too far… and… well you can see the outcome!
I have no excuse, the plant pot was the diameter of a dust bin lid… Oops! Sorry Dad! He came out and inspected the damage and said, 'Don't worry about it, come in and have some fresh fruit salad I've just made.' I thought I was going to be told off, but Dad is really laidback, I like to think I take after him in that sense! Well, most of the time, anyway!
It was a really hectic and brilliant holiday, sharing our time between Somerset and the Isle of Wight. One of the best days was chilling out by the sea making a sandcastle with my children. I say sandcastle, it was more like a fortress. It took hours and then it was finished off with a few stones and shells for doors and windows and then promptly destroyed! All that hard work!
For my son's birthday we became racing car drivers for the day on a go-kart track…. Wow! It feels fast when you're that close to the ground. My son was particularly pleased on lapping me a couple of times. I was just pleased to beat his Granddad who was a firm favourite to be a star of the track!
On coming back to work I wondered if my shared dressing room with Dale and Julian would be intact… I opened the door nervously – unbelievably it was clean and tidy!
I hoped you've enjoyed the summer (in between all the rain and showers.) Dare I mention, Christmas isn't that far away and the cosy dark evenings are now drawing in!
I'm back on air with Charlie Bears this Monday 10th September at 9pm then I'm launching the new Lola Rose TSV a few hours later at midnight… Hope to see you then.
