We are delighted to celebrate the 12th anniversary of Tiffany Style Lighting here at QVC. This elegant and stylish range of lamps and lights add a timeless and subtle ambience to any room, perfect for creating a welcoming and relaxing haven.

You would be amazed at how quickly a room can be transformed just by adding subtle mood lighting. We spoke to guest Anthony Papas to give us a little more insight into this stunning brand.

What is the inspiration behind Tiffany Style Lighting?

Beaded LampTiffany Style Lighting was inspired by the original Tiffany Lamps created by Louis Comfort Tiffany in the early 1900s – being the son of Charles Tiffany (the founder of Tiffany & Co) he grew up with an appreciation of fine things.

However it was his fascination with stained glass and a chance meeting with Eddison that a little page of history was written and Louis created his first Tiffany Lamp Shade. This was the template – glass with textures, colours and lustre were lovingly crafted into a lamp of stained glass – now not only lit by daylight and sunlight but at the flick of a switch with the new invention 'electricity'. For the first time the beauty of stained glass could shine in the dark, arguably when most appreciated.

Tiffany Style Lighting pride themselves with honouring the craftsmanship of the great man and go to great lengths to ensure the same skill and attention to detail goes into each and every lamp Tiffany Style Lighting produce – so whether it's a statement piece table lamp or a fun novelty item each and every cut of glass will have been made by hand and soldered by hand.

What makes Tiffany Style Lighting unique?

Butterfly lampFirst I just have to say what makes them interesting and for me it's the vast selection within the Tiffany Style Lighting range – there truly is something there for every taste and every home.

What makes them unique – well that's simple and goes back to the fact that they are crafted entirely by hand! YES that means every piece of stained glass has been hand cut and then hand soldered. But not only that – within each individual cut of glass (and on some lamps there are over a 1000 pieces) the colours and the striations will vary each time the glass is blown, that together with the textures, if it's bubble glass or ripple glass so truly each piece IS unique – as it says in the song ‘I am my own special creation’.

What is your favourite design?

Peacock lampRegular QVC viewers will know this! Give me those beautifully rich, traditional ornate lamps with regal colours, throw in some amber beading and why not a lit base too – and I'm in heaven! Well actually I'm in my relaxed sanctuary which is exactly what every home should be!

Seriously though, we appreciate everything that has been created with skill and craftsmanship and love to hear our fabulous QVC viewers opinions – that's why I've created my TSL Facebook Page (Anthony Papas QVC's Tiffany Style Lighting). We love hearing what you would like from Tiffany Style Lighting and also post sneak previews of new items – would love you to join me!

What is you top styling tip?

It's difficult to pick one top tip for styling! If I'm pushed I would have to say 'have the confidence to create your own style' – we’re constantly being told this is in vogue, that's old hat, a certain colour is in!

That’s another reason I love the Tiffany Style Lighting range it’s because the scope the choice the designs are endless – so to answer the last part of your question ‘what room is it ideal for’

Well that’s for YOU to decide – personalise your home just the way you want it!

I’ve bought these as special occasion gifts for several years now – the first purchase being a TSV of Thomas Kincade’s Garden of Prayer with the white temple in it – for an 80th birthday present and it’s still loved today around 5 years later. Since then my husband and I have given several to my mother-in-law as gifts, including an expensive floor lamp for her 60th birthday (ouch! but worth it, she was thrilled) She’s also had a table lamp and a Rooster (loves and keeps chickens, so that was an instant hit).
I finally got one of my own when my husband bought me the cupcake as an everlasting birthday cake a couple of years ago, it’s been my bedside lamp ever since.
Every one received has been faultlessly made, the custom packaging ensures undamaged delivery. Each has instantly looked like they “belonged” within the home they’ve gone to. We’ve seen mimics in home furnishing stores and lighting shops and they are awful and plastic in some cases. Not a patch on these works of art, thank goodness you can get this quality of design, good materials and top class construction in Tiffany Style Lamps from QVC though – thank you!
