A belated happy Bank Holiday everyone and here’s to a great half term too! I must admit I think our household is the busiest it’s ever been, with my son’s GCSEs now in full swing.
He is working really hard now, so I feel guilty as I was having a bit of a moan a couple of blogs ago about him being too laid back. But his is slaving over the revision now, which is all I can ask – I just hope, fingers crossed, it all works out okay!
The This Works range has really helped. I have got him using the range and it has been essential to him getting a good night’s sleep the night before an exam. I first started using the Pillow Spray myself to help with my shift patterns at QVC, so when Taylor said he was struggling to sleep (mind racing with the exams) I knew exactly what to reach for. Although the range is not recommended for children, at 16 the products are fine and you can even use them during pregnancy.
So I got Taylor into a little wind down routine using the Deep Sleep Bath Soak follow by the Sleep Plus pillow spray, which is even more potent than the initial pillow spray I started with, and it has worked a treat. I would definitely recommend the products to anyone struggling with their sleep, they really do work and smell divine.
Meanwhile, I treated my self to the new Sleep Plus Hair Elixir, which slow releases the sleep inducers throughout the night but at the same time is a hair treatment. You don’t need to wash it out in the morning, it just leaves your hair looking glossy, glamorous and smelling gorgeous – plus no more ‘bed head’!
Definitely check out the This Works range on the website and watch out for the hour shows when Nicole, our This Works expert, has the opportunity to explain the range.
I have been so impressed with the sleep range that I have been trying out some of their skincare products too, which are so fabulous I could waffle on for hours…
My favourites are the Light Time Eye Cream, which has an amazing applicator with a metal end that virtually irons my eyes every morning! The Light Time Cleanse & Glow (which comes as a duo with the eye cream luckily) actually wakes my face up! I’ve always said my face never looks awake until lunch time, but now it does! It’s a real pick-me-up first thing in the morning, like a shot of vitamin C, brilliant. Lastly and a highly recommended find is the Energy Bank Sunflash, which looks a little scary because it comes out quite dark but a quick lick of this over your moisturiser looks incredible – just a hint of colour and perfect for those no make-up days. I love it.
Well hopefully the next time we check in the exams will be almost over and things will have calmed down!
In the meantime, sweet dreams,
