These feet were made for walking… And running!

SkechersFor those of you who follow my blogs, it will come as no surprise that I am still suffering with a condition called Plantar Faciitus, which has plagued me and curtailed all my running since before Christmas.

I mentioned my condition to Richard, our guest from Skechers, and we talked about 'heel strikes' and rises. He suggested I tried their new Go Run 3 shoes which have more of a neutral position and encourage a mid sole strike. For those of you who are thinking I'm talking double Dutch, most running shoes are designed to land on the heel and then roll forward, whereas these shoes have a lower rise and are designed to land more in the middle.

If you think about it, when we are kids we all run on the balls of our feet and it's only later that we change the way we run …. and all the problems start!

So I'm trying to get back to my childish ' barefoot running' style, slowly and surely. The Skechers are incredibly comfortable and have absolutely no weight to them and I feel like their going to be a winner. I will report back!

I’ve had that since February and so can sympathise Simon. I can currently be seen hobbling round Tesco in Clarks sandals (with socks)!
At least the sandals give some arch support a bit like your pumps
