Hope you are well and having a good week?
I am just back in from a fantastic day out with my friend April – we work together at QVC and as she is Canadian, she seems to always make the most of her time in London. So we made a deal that I would join her on some of her activities and I too could re-discover my city!
Today we had a great day cruising on the Thames – we took the city clipper from Westminster all the way out to the mammoth Thames Barrier, then over to Greenwich for a picnic and back again. The weather was glorious and it was a perfect day out. We even sailed past Lee Hobeins apartment en-route and you can see a photo he took from his balcony at us waving as we sailed past!!
Talking of photos, I have been trying out a camera we had at QVC, the Canon SX280HS. And as it's a beautiful moon I have just been out trying the super-zoom and what a great photo I have got – best moon pic ever taken by yours truly! What do you think?
Also – if you are a Yankee Candle fan – STOP THE PRESS!! This weekend myself and the wonderful Rosa are launching the latest Yankee TSV. I can't tell you too much, in fact I can't even show you colour photos yet, but I can give you a bit of clue in that they are USA exclusives and in fragrances that, other than at QVC, you won't even see until next year. Also, we rarely have a TSV on a set of 3 large jar candles and that's what this is….how exciting!!!
As soon as I can tell you more I will, but in the meantime, enjoy the sneaky pic!!
OK, so time for my 3 THINGS…
HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK: sunbathing with April in front of the Old Royal Navy college in Greenwich.
FAVOURITE PRODUCT OF THE WEEK: this is one of the Yankee Candles from the TSV, a wonderful hypnotic, enticing fragrance in a rich, seductive colour…. will tell you more on the weekend!!
HAPPY THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK: with the recent passing of QVC models Beulah & Amica, it's made me really reflect on life and try to make the best of each passing moment. Love and empathy to the families of Beulah & Amica – beautiful people inside and out, we will never forget you.
Now, I would like to know yours!
